Credit to Joe Rogan who was very honest with the reason he took on Fear Factor in the first place. According to the former reality show host, he accepted the offer because of the money and his circumstances at the time.

He explained, "I didn’t have as much money back then, and also, it was a lot more money than what I got the first time,” Rogan revealed. “It was a big deal, but I immediately regretted it.”

“I was just having children then,” Joe said. “I felt this overwhelming responsibility to squirrel away more money, but then once I started doing it, I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is a mistake.'”

Rogan would go on to reveal that during season 5, he was starting to realize that the show was getting repetitive, and it was time to move on.

“When I was like on season five of Fear Factor, I remember thinking, ‘I don’t know how much longer I can do this,'” Rogan stated. “It was the same thing over and over again. We did 148 episodes. After a while, it was like, ‘Jesus how many animal ***** can you serve people?'”

The incident in question took place during a challenge. A certain couple on the show was having an awful time finding chemistry, and it would lead to several shouting matches between the two.

Rogan explained, “There was a guy who was on that show, ‘The Amazing Race’, and him and his wife were contestants on the show. They were screaming and yelling at each other the whole time they were on the show. It was disgusting.”

Reality star Johhny Fairplay was adding fuel to the fire, ripping on the contestant's partner. It was at that point in which things got heated.

Rogan recalls, “They get eliminated… The wife walks up to Johnny and punches him as hard as she can in his stomach and he falls over. And I go hey he fell over… He really got hurt. I go “What are you doing? You can’t go around hitting people…”

Suddenly, things got worse as her husband confronted Rogan. What started off as a shouting match quickly turned into something a lot more serious.

"He goes right in my face. I push him and he goes “I dare you to touch me again”. I push him again and then I’m like, “What what?” Because I think now, we’re fighting. So it was never really a fight like I never really hit him and he never really hit me, but I was trying to get him to hit me."

Thankfully, the situation ended before things got any worse.

The moment has over three millions views on YouTube. Several fans chimed in, giving their opinions on what had taken place. Safe to say fans agreed with Rogan given what had taken place.

"The fact the women abusing men gets overshadowed by the fact the man was defending himself. There are a lot of female abusers out there, gender plays no role to being crazy."

"I remember this exact episode well. If it had legit gone off we would be seeing him in the hospital. And Joe still would have earned the respect of millions of viewers that day for settling that clown down."

Another fan wrote, "My goodness this is the very definition of messing with the wrong dude. This is a good lesson for anyone out there picking fights, you have no idea what anyone is capable of. A bad fight can ruin a life and can end a life. Don't be stupid let calmer heads prevail."

Interestingly enough, the person trying to break up the fight was none other than future WWE Superstar, The Miz. Fans praised the sports entertainer for trying to stop things, unlike everyone else that just seemed to watch from a distance.
