Let's get started.

Johnny Galecki Praised Aarti Mann For Her Work On The Big Bang Theory

Looking back at Leonard's romantic love interests on The Big Bang Theory, Priya certainly ranks up there among the more unpopular characters. That was especially true given that she was getting in the way of Leonard's possible romance with Penny.

However, behind the scenes, it was a different reality for Johnny Galecki. According to The Big Bang actor, he instantly got along with Aarti Mann, and compared her work ethic to the rest of the cast.

Galecki revealed how he really felt about Mann, "I thought it made a whole lotta sense. She did one episode this season, and we just really loved Aarti [Mann], and her work ethic kind of melded with everybody else’s."

At the time, Mann's future on the show was unsure. But Galecki wanted her to stay for an extended amount of time.

"And it makes sense as far as the characters. She is Leonard’s sort of intellectual equivalent, so they’re able to communicate more effortlessly than Leonard and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), certainly."

Mann appeared on 12 episodes of the show spanning between 2010 and 2011. Although she was loved by her castmates, fans were quite torn over the years.

Fans Had Mixed Feelings Towards Priya On The Big Bang Theory

Fans on Reddit shared their thoughts about Priya and, as expected, it was a mixed reaction. One fan in particular didn't appreciate the way Priya would hide her relationship with Leonard from her parents.

"I have mixed feelings about her. On the one hand, she was brilliant, beautiful, and her interactions with Sheldon were entertaining. On the other hand, I don't like how she hid Leonard from her parents and hate how she slept with her ex, was clearly going to keep it a secret, and acted like it wasn't even a big deal."

A fan added, "She's pretty unpopular with the fan base as she seems to be ashamed of Leonard and won't tell her parents about him unless forced."

Another fan notes that although Priya wasn't liked by fans, the actress herself did a fantastic job.

"She’s not well liked by most of us but a) the actress playing her was superb and b) that episode S4 E21 is comedy gold."

There's no denying that Mann did a great job in her role, especially given that it wasn't what she had anticipated.

Aarti Mann Revealed Her Cameo On TBBT Was Supposed To Be A Lot Shorter

"The character changed completely. Originally she was engaged and she was going to get married and Leonard was her last fling. We rehearsed it over the week and it became just Priya making a booty call," she said. "It was revealed to me after we shot the show that (executive producer) Bill (Prady) wanted to leave the option open for Priya to come back later in the season."

Mann was excited to return. Not only did she return, but the character also changed.

"It's fun to see how Priya has changed," Mann said. "She's made strong turns and it's been fun to see how fan sentiment has turned with it."

Mann had a great time on the show, and it was also a learning experience for the actress.

"I'm asking myself the same question. Whenever we're rehearsing, I'll try to play it in a more comedic way and (executive producer) Chuck (Lorre) always comes in and says, 'Play it simply. You're beautiful when you're simple.' I'm constantly told to reel it back in. I think I'm giving them what they need for the show. Every sitcom needs their straight man or straight woman."

Mann's changes made Priya that much more believable.
