Shannon Tweed Knew From The Start She Couldn't Change Gene Simmons

Things turned out to be just fine between Gene and Shannon, as the two got hitched in 2011. Fans have always questioned why Tweed stayed around despite the tough treatment at times. According to Tweed, she knew who Gene was at the start and changing someone isn't going happen, especially with a character like Gene's.

"You can't change someone, but you can see their potential and hope for the best, if you've got the patience."

She continued, "He was a good man in a bad boy shell," she recalled. "He had stuff to do and he had to get it done before he married me."

Things appear to be on much better terms these days between the two. Surely, the end of Gene Simmons Family Jewel might've saved the couple. The reality series ran from 2006 up until 2012, for six seasons. Although it gained lots of popularity and had the fans' attention, it might've also hurt the couple's relationship as well.

Things are different nowadays and both are in a better place. They've come a very long way since the interview.
