Julia Fox Wants To Be A Cast Member On RHONY

When The Real Housewives of New York City had a complete overhaul of its cast, fans had mixed reactions about whether they would bring the same drama as the OGs. However, what fans did admire about the new cast was that the successful ladies came from different backgrounds and truly embody what it is to be called a New Yorker.

With Season 15 now over after an explosive finale, is there a chance a new apple holder could enter the mix? One person that has expressed a desire to be part of RHONY is New York icon Julia Fox. Do fans agree?

Julia Fox Wants To Be A Cast Member On RHONY

Julia Fox thinks she would be a perfect addition to RHONY. Raised in New York and having made her way up in the world with her artistry, eccentric fashion style and tell-it-like-it-is attitude, Julia is the perfect fit for the Real Housewives franchise.

In January, Julia appeared as a guest on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live where she was asked if she could see herself as a cast member.

"You know what? I would do a season and see how it goes and, I just need to shake it up a little bit," Julia told the host. "You heard it here first."

However, before Julia made her plea, she also believed that Anna Delvey—the con-artist who famously wore an ankle bracelet during Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars, and said she learned "Nothing" from her time on the show—should also join. "I love her, she's an icon," Julia shared, before adding, "Put her on RHONY."

In 2022, there were rumors buzzing around that Julia might join RHONY.

At the time, it was announced that RHONY was getting a complete overhaul after Season 13. According to E! News, Julia was "heavily rumored" to join the new batch of women. But, in an interview with ES Magazine, she shot down those rumors.

"They called, but I told them, I'm just not really there yet right now. But maybe in the future," Julia spilled. The actress had just welcomed her son, Valentino, in January 2021 with her ex-husband, Peter Artemiev.

In addition, she shared that she would enjoy doing a reality TV show, but only if it "could be me and my friends on it." Interestingly, Julia is close friends with one of the new RHONY cast members after playing a prank on her...

Julia capulated to stardom when she began dating rapper Kanye West for about a month, calling it off in February 2022. The artist shared in a Fox interview that she didn't want to "go public" with their romance. "If anything, I was like, ‘We should wait,’ and then boom, it was done behind my back. I realized pretty quickly I was being used as a pawn,'" Julia shared.

Julia Is Close Friends With RHONY's Jessel Taank

In May 2024, Julia took part in an Elle magazine segment called Phoning It In with Julia Fox, where she pranked some of her closet friends and family with absurd requests and suggestions. During one prank, Julia calls her dad and makes him believe she was asked to take part in a brand deal with the oil company, Exxon.

During her last prank phone call, Julia was asked to call a RHONY cast member to tell them she would be replacing someone on the show. Julia then calls Jessel Taank, but it is interesting to note that she may know each housewife on a personal level.

After a short, warm greeting among the women, Julia tells Jessel, "I have some, like, crazy tea that I want to run by you."

She continued, "So Andy [Cohen] called me last night, and he says he wants me to join the cast, but he's getting rid of someone, who is he getting rid of?" Jessel then replies, in shock, "Wait, shut up!" Jessel reminds Julia that they began filming for Season 15, but Julia cleverly tells her that she'll be in the following season.

Jessel then spills that one of her cast mates may not be returning, although the name she drops is bleeped out from the video to not give anything away. (Now, that fans know what went down in the Season 15 finale, could Jessel have said Brynn Whitfield?)

The prank continues with Jessel telling Julia, "Wait, that's insane. You have to do it." She even gives Julia a few pointers, totally unaware that this is all a joke.

"The one thing I will tell you is that it will f******* catapult you because the amount of press, eyeballs, like it's just like a nonstop machine." She then adds, "I think if you can handle Kanye, you can handle this." Julia finally tells Jessel that it was all just a prank.

Season 15 was also filled with pranks (like Rebecca Minkoff's pregnancy prank that set fans off), so it already seems like Julia will be a perfect fit.

Would Fans Like To See Julia On The Bravo Show?

After Julia shared on WWHL that she would love to be a new addition to the RHONY cast, a Reddit thread had alot of users agreeing. Fans would love to see her speak about her short-lived romance with controversial rapper Kanye West and possibly stir some drama in the group, as fans had found Season 15 to be somewhat dull until the series' finale.

Julia has the perfect personality to be on reality TV and it appears that she already knows some of the cast members.

"I would love that honestly. I feel like she doesn’t take herself too seriously and is actually a very nice person!" A user wrote.

"I absolutely, unabashedly, unironically love her."

Another commenter joked, "You can see the dollar signs behind Andy’s eyes 😂"

"Julia and Anna are exactly the types they need on new RHONY. Weird, over the top personas who would give the women something to TALK about. We can’t sit through another season of bad pranks," a comment read.

"Yes, please. I love her. Her memoir was such an incredible read. She’s such a fascinating person who has been through a lot. And she seems like a genuinely kind and brave person," a user wrote.

Well, the results are in, and it seems like fans want Julia on RHONY. Will Andy give it the green light?
