In Hollywood, unexpected friendships always seem to be forming. Sometimes, co-stars end up forming a tight bond. In other cases, celebrities end up expanding their social circles after being in the industry for long periods of time. Well, in the case of Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough, their close friendship just formed naturally.
As you know, Dobrev is best known for her role in the TV show, “Vampire Diaries”. Meanwhile, Hough is an actress who has starred in films such as “Rock of Ages,” “Dirty Grandpa,” and “Safe Haven.” She is also a dance pro on the hit ABC show, “Dancing with the Stars.”

15 The Two Women Met Through Their Hairstylist
While speaking with E! News, Hough explained, “We've known the same person, Riawna Capri, who cuts and colors and does our hair. She's like, 'You guys have to meet.' We've just been like joined—connected at the hip.” Capri is also the co-owner of the Los Angeles based Nine Zero One Salon. Her other clients includes Selena Gomez and Ruby Rose.
14 They Experienced Heartbreak Around The Same Time
Dobrev had broken up with costar, Ian Somerhalder, while Hough ended her relationship with Ryan Seacrest. However, when Cosmopolitan asked her whether it’s nice to be friends with someone who also went through a breakup, Dobrev explained, “That's not what our friendship is about. Unfortunately, that's how it's perceived, but there's more to us. People aren't defined by their relationships. The whole point is being true to yourself and not losing yourself in relationships, whether romances or friendships”

While doing an interview with the Chicks In The Office podcast, Dobrev never really got into detail about why she was so upset. Instead, she said, “The girl was...her single just came out Transform, she was having a launch party and this whole thing, she performed it for the first time. And I didn't realize that that was that night and I was going through something and I texted her and she literally left her own launch party to come, like, be the shoulder for me to cry on at my house.”
She added, “That's a best friend. That's a true friend.”
11 Julianne Also Rushed To Nina’s Side When Nina Ended Up In The Emergency Room
According to Good Morning America, Dobrev suffered a severe allergic reaction, which landed her in the hospital. During her hospital stay, Hough came by to hang out with her best friend. She also took photos of Dobrev and posted them on Instagram, with the message, “Who would I be at the Emergency Room with on a Sunday night?! Thank god I went to visit this little sheesh!” Fortunately, Dobrev recovered.

At one point, Dobrev took to Instagram, saying, “As one of her best friends I can safely say that Brooks has from day one always had all of our stamps of approval.
