Kaley Cuoco instantly cried when the announcement was made, and she considered not coming to work the following day given her anger against Parsons.

As for Johnny Galecki, he felt similar to Cuoco given that the main cast wasn't given any type of warning or heads up prior to the announcement.

Galecki revealed, "I was shocked. We were just blindsided that day. And not necessarily shocked by Jim's decision, but that he hadn't had that conversation with his castmates first to prepare us," Galecki said. "So yes, it could have been handled better. We're a family; have a conversation."

“I had held it together pretty well,” he said. “But then the last scene we were shooting, they added a joke, and I said it and I thought I would get another chance at it because we shoot most takes twice. But no, I got it and they said, ‘All right, moving on.’ And then that was the last words I was going to say as my character.”

Despite the feeling of grief, Bialik was set on giving it her all during the final episode and putting those emotions aside.
