Katie Holmes was recently spotted in New York City with her teenage daughter, Suri, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. The actress wore an all-black outfit with white sneakers, while her daughter was dressed in an oversized t-shirt with black shorts.
This marks Katie’s first appearance since reports began circulating that her ex-boyfriend Jamie Foxx is trying to rekindle their romance following his recent health scare.
Jamie Foxx Was Mysteriously Hospitalized Earlier This Year
In April, Jamie was admitted to the hospital for an unknown medical complication. There were a lot of theories spreading as to what the actor was ill with, but he’s still never confirmed what caused the health scare.
In July, Jamie addressed his health issues for the first time, in which he credited "a lot of great medical people" with "saving (his) life."
"I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through," he said in the video posted to his social media. "I know a lot of people were waiting, you know, wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me ... with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through."
“Some people said I was blind, but as you can see the eyes are working, the eyes are working just fine,” Jamie continued. “Said I was paralyzed, I'm not paralyzed, but I did go through - I went to hell and back,”
He added that he’s “coming back” and “able to work. But now it appears getting his career back on track isn’t the only thing on Jamie’s mind, according to recent reports.
Jamie Foxx Is “On A Mission” To Win Katie Holmes Back
Speaking to National Enquirer, a source recently said Jamie is “on a mission” to get Katie back, adding that he believes it was a “romance born out of passion.” "Jamie has dated scores of beautiful women in his life, but none came close to matching what he had with Katie," the insider explained.
Apparently, Jamie also has regrets over their break-up. "Their chemistry was off the charts,” the source went on. “In hindsight, Jamie can't believe he let her slip through his fingers."
The insider didn’t elaborate on whether Jamie has reached out to his ex-girlfriend, but they added he would understand if she’s not willing to give things another try. "He knows and respects that she's moved on,” the source added. “But, if she were open to taking him back, that would be the dream scenario!"
Jamie and Katie knew each other for years before they began dating in 2013, only to break-up in 2019 shortly after making their public debut at that year’s MET Gala.
The famously private couple have never directly commented on their romance, but reports at the time said that Katie called their relationship off as they had “different lives.”
“It has been many years of him stepping out with other women,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s disrespectful and their lives were different. His partying ways don’t fit with hers as she’s focused on raising her daughter and working.”
For now, neither Katie nor Jamie have addressed the rumors of a reconciliation.
