In an October 2024 episode of Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan's Disrespectfully podcast, the reality TV star made a huge announcement. Katie revealed that she was not only dating someone, but she was "in love."

Katie gave a few details about her boyfriend, but did not disclose who she was dating. However, she did state that they were in a long-distance relationship because he had to "travel for work."

"I went to go see my boyfriend. He has to travel for work, so I went to go meet up with him, hang out with him, and spend some time. And it was really amazing because I hadn't seen him in a few weeks. Just being able to spend some quality time and just be around him was just really necessary. I had a really good time."

6 Page Six Confirms Katie Is Dating Musician Nick Martin

October 2024

That same month, Page Six revealed that the mystery man Katie was referring to on her podcast episode was Sleeping with Sirens musician Nick Martin. According to the outlet, the pair met through mutual friends. In a January episode of her podcast, Katie shared that she and Nick were friends "for a long time before anything happened and honestly wasn't on my bingo card."

“Katie loves the emo music scene and has been a fan and friend of Nick’s band for some time. While the pair started out as friends, things took a turn this past summer in August and their relationship developed really quickly."

5 Katie Acknowledged Her Romance With Nick Martin On Instagram

December 2024

In November 2024, Katie shared a photo of herself holding Nick's hand on Instagram Stories, but it wasn't until the following month that she actually publicly acknowledged their romance. The VPR alum shared a photo with Nick in which the two lovingly stare at one another as they celebrated the musician's birthday. Posted on her Instagram Stories, Katie kept it short and sweet, writing on her photo, "Happy Birthday my ❤️!!!!!” And tagging him.

Katie's ex-husband, Tom, spoke with E! News in February and revealed he had met Nick. "I met Nick, and he’s so cool, so down to earth, and obviously a rock star. Listen, I love seeing her happy. She’s happy. I’m happy," he shared.

4 Katie and Nick Celebrated The Christmas Holidays Together

December 2024

Now that Katie had gone public with her relationship with Nick, she had no issues sharing several more snaps hanging out with the rocker. During the holidays, the two enjoyed the Christmas festivities by watching outdoor screenings of the holiday classics, A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which she shared on Instagram. Days later, they enjoyed dinner with Katie's mom, Teri Maloney.

Prior to dating Katie, Nick was married to Jenna Silva. In a June 2020 Instagram post, Nick celebrated 6 years of being with Jenna. According to Page Six, they wed in 2016, but it's unclear when they officially split. Jenna still has a photo on her Instagram with Nick celebrating Valentine's Day in 2023.

The guitarist posted a birthday shout out to Katie on January 16th. Taking to Instagram Stories, he shared a photo of the two going in for a kiss. He captioned it, "Happy birthday to the most genuine, loving, inspiring woman that I know," followed by a heart emoji. Nick also tagged the reality star.

The couple also traveled to Utah that month, where Katie was a special guest during Emo Nite in Park City.

2 Katie Gushed About Her "Supportive" Boyfriend

January-February 2025

Katie gushed about her new beau in an episode of her and Dayna's Disrespectfully podcast. In January, she shared, "I didn’t expect to fall for him, but I did and it happened really quick. I think we just both were on the same page with things. I just always thought he was just so kind and thoughtful and supportive. He’s been nothing but supportive since the day I met him basically."

“I just feel really lucky and fortunate and he just is always just there. He’s so patient and loving and he’s so nice to my family, which is really important. I love his family and his friends. I just feel very, I’m a lucky, lucky gal."

In a February episode of the Boyfriend Material podcast, Katie told host Harry Jowsey what made Nick "boyfriend material," and it was super sweet.

"He's supportive in every way imaginable. He supports my opinions, my thoughts, my feelings, my dreams and my moods. Just emotionally and actually physically supportive."
