Whenever there is a major red carpet event, a slew of different celebrities walk down the aisle and have their picture taken by loads of photographers. No matter what some people have reported in the past, there is zero concrete evidence that points to the idea that Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have ever been a couple. More than that, any time there were rumors about them, Perry and Pattinson’s representatives have strongly denied they are anything other than friends. As Katy Perry once revealed, she was worried that Kristen Stewart would take rumors of her dating Robert Pattinson seriously. When she spoke to Elle UK with rumors swirling in 2013, Perry made it clear she took steps to make sure Stewart didn’t buy into the rumors. "I sent her a text message saying: 'I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person,'"
As Katy Perry went on to explain, she was only trying to be there for her friend Robert Pattinson as he went through a very public and likely devastating breakup. For reasons out of her control, Perry was well aware that the press was going to misconstrue that simply because she and Pattinson are opposite genders. "'I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.'"
As US Weekly reported, Katy Perry was returning the favor when she was there for Robert Pattinson during his breakup with Kristen Stewart. After all, according to their report, Pattinson checked in on Perry regularly through text messages following her divorce from Russell Brand.
