It remains the most popular show on television. However, according to some skeptics, Shark Tank is losing its way. Mark Cuban is set to depart, while fans are concerned over the recent entrepreneurs to appear on the show. With a new Shark Tank season looming, fans are hoping for a fresh version of the show that goes back to its roots - not based on pricey investments, but companies that need the backing and have potential to grow.
The main six will be returning. Of all the sharks, Kevin O'Leary typically finds himself in the news for his controversial comments. A recent statement caused fellow Shark Mark Cuban to react, and not in a good way. Let's take a look at what went down between the two, and other reasons Kevin is rubbing fans the wrong way lately.
Kevin O'Leary Was Under Fire From Mark Cuban For His Kamala Harris Comments
Shark Tank fans have noticed in the past, Kevin O'Leary certainly doesn't shy away when it comes to sharing his opinion, even if it's going to cause controversy. Just a few days ago, he was at it again, this time questioning Kamala Harris and her handling of the recession. From an economic standpoint, O'Leary fears it could decimate the US. O'Leary revealed, "Even the most bearish economists right now don't see more than a 50/50 [recession] chance. So I'm still in the soft landing camp. But, policy is now becoming a risk with investors."
O'Leary added that those around Harris are still in the "honeymoon" phase of the process. The Shark went on to reveal that a wrong choice can cost him millions. “For me as an investor, ... all I care about is how’s it going to work in Michigan, how’s it going to work in Pennsylvania, what’s going to happen in Iowa. You can make a mistake when you vote and get it wrong, I lose $50 million.”
O'Leary also spoke sarcastically about Harris' ability to raise money. "She's getting it $20 at a time. She's killing it ... Look, I'm just telling you the facts. If you don't want to hear them, I won't tell them to you."
Kevin's comments didn't sit well with lots of viewers, and that included Mark Cuban, who slammed Kevin on social media.
Cuban tweeted, "You should take this interview out behind the barn."
Mark Cuban is set for his final season of Shark Tank.
Not the only time Mark Cuban calls out Kevin O'Leary. Sadly, Cuban is set to depart from Shark Tank while O'Leary remains onboard. However, it appears as though fans are starting to ask questions about the long-time Shark.

Fans On Reddit Have Also Soured On Kevin O'Leary For Failed Investments Outside The Show
Eight months ago on Reddit, a thread started calling out Kevin O'Leary and his recent investments. Fans are starting to doubt the millionaire, especially over his crypto downfalls most recently. The Redditor wrote, "I love the dude, but It's hard taking him seriously in 2023 after all the crypto. How am I to watch this dude make all those definitive claims about investments seriously. Losing millions to literal memes."
Another Redditor chimed in, stating O'Leary is still savvy, but gets caught up during particular investments.
"He's a smart investor when putting his own money in businesses and I've learned a lot about valuing companies listening to him and how he structures deals. However, he's a massive idiot when it comes to investments/products that he shills for. Literally never listen to anything he says if its part of an advertisement."
Kevin O'Leary maintains an impressive $400 million net worth.
Kevin O'Leary Caused Other Controversy Recently With His Take On Business And Relationships
Back in May, O'Leary had some surprising words when asked about choosing a business or fiancée. This all started after a student asked, "My girlfriend came to me today and said I have to make a decision," the student said. "We're engaged, but she doesn't want to live this way. I have no time for her family; I have no time for her. I work every weekend. I work all night. What do I do? I don't want to lose her."
Kevin's answer sent shockwaves, "Listen, let's be pragmatic about this," said O'Leary. "Which one is easier to replace: Your business, or your fiancée?"
We're not entirely sure if we believe O'Leary. The shark has had a healthy marriage behind the scenes, with the same partner, Linda O'Leary, since 1990.
