Since late 2021, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have been one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples. Kardashian and Davidson reportedly got together after Kardashian famously hosted SNL in October, following her divorce from rapper Kanye West.

Kardashian and Davidson, labeled “Kete” by their fans, have already hit several celebrity couple milestones, including posting photos of each other on social media and walking the red carpet together. The Kardashian family also reportedly loves Davidson and fully supports the relationship.

The couple faced a challenge when Davidson had to leave the U.S. for Australia to film on location in mid-2022. Like any supportive girlfriend with a private jet, Kardashian flew across the pond to be with him on a whirlwind four-day trip, during which the couple was able to relax at their hotel.

And while they spent time together in Australia, they managed to keep their rendezvous (mostly) a secret.

When Did Kim Kardashian Fly To Australia?

Kim Kardashian made waves Down Under (and around the world) when she flew to Cairns, in the Australian state of Queensland, to meet up with beau Pete Davidson. The actor and comedian is still currently on location in Australia to film the comedy Wizards! with Orlando Bloom, and Kardashian flew over to meet him in mid-July.

According to Elle, Kardashian arrived to the tropical coastal city via her private jet and stayed with Davidson for a week before jetting off back to her home in Los Angeles. Insiders have told the press that the celebrity couple only had plans to relax during the week they spent together.

“It's a short visit but she's really excited to go,” said a source shared with the Daily Mail (via Elle). “They've both been so busy with work commitments so this is a much needed break and they are looking forward to time together.”

Cairns is a popular vacation destination in Australia thanks to its warm weather and many resorts and hotels. The city also acts as a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, but there’s been no word whether Kardashian and Davidson enjoyed any snorkeling during their rendezvous.

Though Davidson is based in Cairns while in Australia, Kardashian stayed almost an hour away in the smaller town of Port Douglas, at the Sheraton Mirage hotel.

How Kim Kardashian And Pete Davidson Kept Their Time Together A Secret

Eventually, news of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s time together in Australia made headlines. But prior to leaving Los Angeles and even during her trip, Kardashian was able to keep her movements mostly under wraps.

Cosmopolitan reports that the reality star and business mogul went to great lengths to keep her visit Down Under a secret because, according to an inside source, “This is the 1 percent of time that she doesn’t want to have to worry about getting glammed up and just wants to switch off.”

The source added that Kardashian is usually happy to “say hi” to fans who “bump into” her on the street, but she wasn’t cool with having her photo taken during this particular trip.

The couple reportedly asked staff to sign non-disclosure agreements and requested no photographs. Those around them were told not to ask for autographs or selfies. They also stayed mainly in their hotel, but when they did leave the premises, they used decoy cars to throw off potential photographers.

It was also reported by the Daily Mail that Kardashian used the staff exit at the hotel to avoid being seen by other guests.

Did Kim Kardashian Eat Out In Cairns?

While Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson appeared to stay mostly in their hotel, Kardashian may have ordered food to go from a restaurant during her stay in Queensland. The Daily Mail reports that Kardashian ordered food from an Italian restaurant called Piccolo Cucina which she then took on her flight home.

According to the publication, Kardashian ordered pizza, pasta dishes, salads, fish, arancini balls, chocolate cake, and Nutella pizza, and the bill for the night cost $576. The waiter who took care of the order took to Twitter to share a copy of the bill, also claiming that Kardashian left him a “hefty tip” despite tipping not being customary in Australia.

Though the price of the food may seem substantial to some, it would likely be a drop in the ocean to billionaire Kardashian, who reportedly pays her nannies six figures.

The restaurant’s manager, Jolene Aiello, explained that the bill was not confirmed to be from Kardashian’s order, however. It was simply made by an air hostess traveling on a flight back to the United States, which was possibly Kardashian’s.

“All we can say as a business is it's a possibility this went to [Kardashian's] plane and she could enjoy something on her way home,” Aiello told the press.
