The Big Bang Theory may have ended years ago, but fans are still watching the show and aching to find out more about the likes, dislikes, and pet peeves of the cast.
And as it turns out, the cast members were appalled by one particular behavior of Kunal Nayyar on set. While he was the favorite of most of his now-friends for the 12 years they acted alongside him on the show, his parking skills were also the most reviled by his cast mates.
The Big Bang Theory Cast Mostly Gets Along
The main cast of The Big Bang Theory get along famously and fans have witnessed this over and over again. The cast often pranked each other on set and went so far that Johnny and the gang were banned from pulling pranks on each other after Kaley Cuoco got hit in the head with a chair.
Romance also ensued behind the scenes, although the couples, like Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, didn't always agree about going public with their relationships.
And although not all the cast members were fond of each other or ended up in relationships, for the most part, the TBBT cast was friends in real life or at least had mutual admiration for each other.
This occurrence is normal in shows that last several seasons, making the central cast work together for extended amounts of time.
The constant rumors about a feud between some of the stars, like Kaley Cuoco and Mayim Bialik, were also debunked after the show ended, with Mayim saying, "Well, we worked together for nine years and I went to [Kaley's] wedding and celebrated things with her. I would say we're friends."
However, there was one thing that all the cast members agreed on when it came to the biggest annoyance on set. And it had to do with Kunal Nayyar.
Kunal Nayyar Angered Everyone With How He Parked His Car
While sitting down with Conan O'Brien for his show in 2016, the main cast of The Big Bang Theory discussed their pet peeves with each other. As it turns out, the conversation turned to the many things the cast found annoying (yet funny) about Kunal.
"Is it true that you all have a problem about how Kunal parks his car?" their host asked.
Kaley Cuoco vehemently replied "yes" for the entire group, while the other stars were nodding. As such, Conan asked her to provide more details about their biggest pet peeve.
"It's gotten better," Kaley said, turning to make eye contact with Kunal, who was sitting behind her.
"But we're all parking next to each other, and the spaces are not that big," she explained. "He'd get his big-a** car and pull it right into the spot. And I had to park next to him. So every time, I pull in, I feel like 'Kuuunaaal!'" the actress said, turning her fists to the sky in exasperation.
At this point, Kunal interjected to say that, in his defense, his car's doors opened upward. This caused general hilarity. Conan warned Kunal that finding an excuse wasn't how he got people to love him.
The cast had even brought a photograph to shame Kunal for parking between the lines. Conan noticed that he indeed had more room on the driver's side of the car than on the other side, which supported his explanation that he was parking to give his upward door more room.
So, while his behavior upset his co-stars in the show, he clearly wasn't parking incorrectly to annoy them.
Is Kunal Close With His Cast Mates Today?
Kunal's cast mates also had some hilarious comments about him while speaking with Conan. They show that he was a much-beloved member of the cast.
"He's the most consistently incorrect man I've ever met. And it's endearing, my friend," quipped John Galecki. In response, Kunal proudly said that the secret was to say anything "with conviction."
But has his consistent conviction contributed to staying friends with his former cast members?
It would appear so. From Jim Pearsons admitting not so subtly that "he had a crush on Kunal" to him and his co-stars helping Kaley Cuoco get over her divorce, it appears that his cast mates finally got over his bad parking and are as friendly to him now as during the show's heyday.
Coupled with the $45 million net worth Kunal has accumulated since his days on The Big Bang Theory, this goodwill from his cast mates definitely makes for great memories for the talented actor.
And it makes sense, too. Fans have always been delighted with Kunal's take on his co-stars, so them forgiving his poor parking skills and staying friends was bound to be a step in the right direction.
