Kylie Jenner has officially changed her son’s legal name, nearly two years after announcing she’d changed her mind about it. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Kylie applied to change her toddler’s name from Wolf Jacques to Aire.
The makeup mogul gave birth to her second child in February 2022. At the time, she announced his name was Wolf. However, after media outlets began referring to the infant by the name, Kylie announced she was changing it, though she refused to reveal the new name at the time.

In the announcement, Kylie explained why she felt Wolf didn’t suit her son. She also added she planned to remove his middle name, too. "We just really didn't feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere," she wrote.
Kylie took her sweet time sharing her son’s new name. She waited until January before sharing it in an Instagram post. “AIRE,” she wrote in call capital letters with a white heart. The unique name means “Lion of God.”
Even after announcing the name, Kylie was in no rush to legally change it. Last September, the Kylie Cosmetics founder explained that she wasn’t rethinking the name change, but rather just felt that updating her son’s legal documents weren’t a priority.
"We haven't officially legally changed the name," Kylie said on the Late Late Show. "So, his name is still Wolf. His passport's Wolf, but that isn't going to be his name. We're just waiting."
The mother-of-two added that her children’s father, Travis Scott, had been indecisive about the name choice. However, Kylie did assure her fans at the time they had a new name picked out, only to publicly reveal it a few months later.

Even though they welcomed their second child last year, Kylie and Travis are no longer together. Reports say the former couple are doing everything they can to make co-parenting go smoothly, including living in the same house. However, this is complicated by the fact that they’re dating other people.
A recent report by TMZ says they both live at Kylie’s house, and Travis is able to see the kids as much as he wants. Interestingly, the exes are currently trying to sell a property they formerly bought together, suggesting they don’t want to live in one house forever. So, Travis’ living arrangement at Kylie’s house may only be temporary.
While Travis is reportedly dating singer SZA, Kylie has moved on with actor Timothee Chalamet. Travis is allegedly having a difficult time adjusting to Kylie’s new romance, which is likely exacerbated by their living situation.
“Although Travis understands that Kylie is free to date whoever she wants, he’s not exactly ecstatic about the whole situation [with Timothée],” a source told Us Weekly. “Despite his feelings, Kylie and Travis have both been very mature about their split and are focused on co-parenting in a healthy manner.”
Things may not be perfect between Kylie and Travis, but it seems like they’re doing all they can to put their kids first.
