After airing on our screens for over a decade, Keeping Up With the Kardashians has become one of the most popular reality TV shows of all time, especially among its younger audience. Over the past fifteen years, fans have seen the family of six go through a rollercoaster of highs and lows, including both successful and failed relationships, career advancements, and family feuds.
The youngest of the family, Kylie Jenner, has seen huge success thanks to her time in the spotlight, alongside her five older siblings who have all branched out onto their own individual paths, and it looks like their kids are next in line. Kylie is already a mother to two children, while Kim has four and Kourtney has three. Khloe also has a beautiful baby girl.
Thanks to her time in the spotlight, Kylie has managed to become one of the highest-paid celebrities on Instagram, although there is fierce competition for the top spot, and it looks like it is constantly changing.
Why Did Kris Want To Home School Kendall And Kylie?
Most fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will probably know that the two youngest daughters of the family, Kendall, and Kylie, were both homeschooled throughout their younger years. However, many fans want to know why this is, and if the children ever attended a normal school.
According to People, Kris wanted to enroll her daughters in homeschool for a variety of different reasons. According to the mother of six, homeschooling 'transformed' her daughter's lives. She stated the following:
"They were performing poorly in school due to constantly missing classes as the regular 8 a.m till 4 p.m. school day clashed with their budding careers. Kendall and Kylie were able to not only choose the courses they wanted to but also create a schedule that fit with their busy lifestyles."
In her statement, it was clear that she felt homeschooling helped to facilitate their transition over to successful careers as well as being able to graduate high school.
Attending a 'normal' school may have meant that the girls would miss filming and therefore also miss out on any payment that may come from filming an episode, which is estimated to be between five and six figures.
What School Did Kylie Jenner Go To?
It's hard to imagine how growing up in the spotlight could affect your school life, and it seems that being famous certainly had an impact on Kylie's schooling years. Kylie first appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians at just ten years old, meaning she would have still been in primary school. However, which primary school did Kylie attend?
Kylie attended a private primary school in California called Sierra Canyon School, where she attended cheerleading and appeared to enjoy acting. However, the young star wouldn't remain in school for long. Between the years 2012 to 2015, Kylie was homeschooled, which means she graduated at home, earning her high school diploma online from Laurel Springs School in California.
After completion, she didn't attend college. This is very likely due to the fact she was already largely successful thanks to appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. However, no official sources have confirmed why.
Likewise, Kylie's sister Kendall was also homeschooled at the same time. The two sisters reportedly switched to home school because they didn't have enough time to attend normal school due to filming commitments.
Since completing her education, Kylie has gone on to give birth to two babies, Stormi and Wolf, however, she has yet to change Wolf's name. The father is her current boyfriend, Travis Scott.
Kylie Jenner Said Being Homeschooled As A Teen Was "Sad"
So, how does Kylie Jenner really feel about being homeschooled? In a clip from Life Of Kylie that dates back to 2017, Kylie revealed that she missed out on social activities like the school prom, and that 'it just made her really sad' that she didn't get to attend. In the clip, it is clear that the star becomes emotional when talking about her homeschool life.
She also revealed that she had to unfollow all her high-school friends on social media because of it, likely due to the fact it made her feel emotional. However, in the same episode of Life Of Kylie, she also got to attend prom with a fan of hers, allowing her to realize her dream to some degree.
However, Kylie's mom, Kris Jenner, seemed to have a different outlook on how homeschooling impacted her daughter's life. According to Transforming The Nation, Kris Jenner felt as though regular school clashed with their filming schedule, and that 'they weren't able to be fully creative in a typical school setting, which kept them disinterested'.
