"Kylie always has stage fright at the big Hollywood events," the source alleged. They added, "She gets really anxious about having to hold conversations about things she doesn’t know about, like the film industry and acting."

Additionally, the source shared that Kylie may feel inferior, as she's known for being a reality television star, compared to the heavy hitters that will be at the Academy Awards.

"It just makes her uncomfortable. She’s always battling that inferiority complex of ‘They think I’m just trash TV.'" The source continued:

"There's still a huge part of her that lives in fear of having that rug pulled out from under her, or people saying she doesn’t deserve to be somewhere like the Oscars."

"There is part of her that is worried that by appearing on the red carpet, she triggers some sort of ‘hate reaction’ from people who think she’s not entitled to be on the red carpet or with him."

Kylie also does not want to make Timothée's biggest night about her. There's no doubt that if she did attend, the spotlight would be all on her.

"Kylie didn’t want to make it about them. She wanted this night to be all about Timothée, how it was intended to be," a source for Page Six shared when she attended the Golden Globes earlier this year.
