In December 2024, Lauren Conrad attended her Laguna Beach High School class' 20th reunion, reuniting the reality TV stars with their former classmates and MTV co-stars from Laguna Beach. Lo Bosworth was missing from the proceedings despite speaking openly and expressing her excitement at attending the reunion.
"I was reminded the other day by an email by a friend and former cast member that was like, 'Guess what, twenty years of Laguna Beach is this year,'" Lo told her The Hills co-star, Whitney Port, on the April 30 episode of her podcast Gut Feelings with Lo Bosworth. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh.'"
Lo and Lauren first appeared on MTV’s Laguna Beach, which aired from 2004 to 2006. One year later, Lo joined the spinoff series The Hills and appeared on the reality show until its finale in 2010.
According to E! Online, Lauren was photographed at her reunion with her fellow Laguna Beach stars:

What Does Lo Bosworth And Lauren Conrad's Relationship Look Like Now?
Lo Bosworth appeared on Laguna Beach as Lauren Conrad's best friend, but where do they stand now? Although Lo Bosworth has lost touch with her former Laguna Beach co-stars, she has maintained a relationship with Lauren Conrad.
"Lauren and I are friends," Lo explained on an episode of the Just B With Bethenny Frankel podcast, before noting how TV had changed since her MTV show first aired in 2004. "I think that everybody is doing really well. Everybody is really friendly, and Laguna was like a kind, nice version of reality TV."
"I'm not in constant touch with a ton of people from the show, but it's been 20 years," she explained to E! News. "I don't know a lot of people that are still on a day-to-day basis with people that they went to high school with. But I'm very friendly with everybody and, if I saw them, I'd run up to them and give them a big hug."
US Magazine reports that while she is still close to Lauren, the distance means they are not as friendly as they once were. Lo moved to New York in early 2012 to attend culinary school to become a TV cook. That is where she became interested in health and fitness. She posted a TikTok video in 2012 about her life as a business owner, in which she admitted, "I’ve lived on the East Coast for more than 10 years, so we don’t chat super frequently but definitely still friends.”
Lauren was less friendly when asked about her relationship with Lo. During her Back to the Beach podcast appearance in 2022, she revealed that she hasn’t spoken to Lo Bosworth “in a minute,” adding, “She’s in New York. … She’s doing well.”
How Reality TV Changed Lo Bosworth's Relationship With Her Friends
Lo Bosworth appeared on 65 episodes of The Hills and admitted that filming "challenged" her relationships.
"Not by our own fault," she explained on an April 2024 episode of Just B With Bethenny Frankel, not blaming each other for their struggles to connect. "We were very young women constantly put into compromised situations where we had to blood sport it out against each other to get through a day of production."
Lo admitted she struggled to make the hit MTV show because she wasn't as dramatic as her co-stars.
I served a very specific role, which I'm actually grateful for in hindsight. I didn't have to get into it too much. But in the areas where I did, it still kind of haunts me to this day because there's so many stories behind this story everybody saw on television that run very counter to what the public thinks of you.
In a 2019 interview with Life & Style, Lo admitted that the friendships were real despite the show being manufactured for drama. "Everybody was really close back in the day. We spent so much time together that, of course, the friendships were genuine," she said.

In USA Today, Lo opened up about her youth on television and how "it's not normal," to have "millions of people see you, and to have to absorb all of that energy and their opinions can be challenging." As an adult, she says she has a better perspective of her time on the show.
What Are Lo Bosworth And Lauren Conrad Doing Now?
So, what happened to Lo Bosworth and Lauren Conrad, years after they appeared on MTV?
Lo is the founder of Love Wellness, a line of personal care products for women. After The Hills ended, she launched a blog, The Lo Down by Lo Bosworth, and released a book of the same title in 2011.
When The Hills: New Beginnings was announced, Lo admitted she was not interested in returning to the world of television reality shows because the cast "generally don’t have creative control" over how they are edited on TV.
"I am an advocate for women. I’m a feminist. I own this business supporting women’s health,” she told Us Weekly in October 2018. “To not be able to be in control of my own narrative is just way too risky for me at this point.” She felt the original The Hills made her "look so mean" because they wanted to create drama.
ScreenRant reports Lauren Conrad turned into a successful businesswoman after leaving The Hills. Thanks to her blog, she was an early lifestyle influencer. She has her own clothing line with Kohl's and a now-discontinued makeup and skincare brand, Lauren Conrad Beauty. In 2013, PEOPLE shared that she launched her fair trade online store, The Little Market, as well as a children's clothing line called Little Co., and a fragrance called LOVED by Lauren Conrad.
Lauren married lawyer William Tell in 2014, and the couple have two sons together. She has stepped away from reality TV, and, according to ScreenRant, admitted to Whitney Poet on her podcast that “I just kinda needed a clean break for a minute to kind of emotionally recover and I took some time off and then obviously moved out of LA.”
Lauren Conrad also released two young adult novels, L.A. Candy and Sweet Little Lies, which both became New York Times bestsellers. In 2012, she wrote a beauty and style guide titled Lauren Conrad Beauty.
