The world was shocked this week when Tom Cruise went viral.
Cruise faced strong criticism after he blasted two Mission: Impossible crew members after catching them breaking UK COVID-19 rules on set.
The Hollywood superstar scolded the workers who were apparently standing too close together breaking social distancing rules. Cruise was secretly recorded while filming at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Herts.
Former Scientologist Leah Remini released a damning piece on Friday regarding Cruise's behavior, published on TonyOrtega.org.
The 50-year-old out spoke about Cruise's long-held faith in the Church of Scientology, accusing him of losing his temper purely as a "publicity stunt."
Cruise plays spy character, Ethan Hunt, in the mega franchise and was heard shouting at employees on set: "If I see you doing it again, you're f***ing gone," according to The Sun.
However Remini maintains that Cruise and all Scientologists do not believe in illness - including COVID-19.
Remini explained what she believed his motives were for the tantrum.
"Tom does not care about the families of his crew; this is all for publicity. Tom does not believe in family values," she wrote.
"I would bet that Tom had this rant written for him and had his Scientology assistant record and release it," she later added.
"Hearing a rich actor with enormous power address his crew in this way is a sign of weakness and a deeply troubled person."
The Scientology and the Aftermath star even commented on the Top Gun star's mental wellbeing.
"His mental state is showing. Tom seems to think that Hollywood is incapable of making films without his help," she stated.
"Saying such a thing indicates the godlike figure Tom believes he is, and what he is told by Scientology."
"This is an actor with enormous power on the set of his film, this is not just a guy in the middle of a public place standing up to someone for not wearing a mask. This is Tom friggin’ Cruise wielding his power and threatening and degrading his crew," she later added. Toward the end of her blog post, Remini accused the whole Scientology organization being "manipulative."
