Leonardo DiCaprio has a massive net worth of $300 million. Although a major reason for it has to do with his acting career, and commanding a premium for Hollywood projects, he has also taken the time to make serious investments in the past.

In his investment portfolio comes a lot of environmentally friendly projects. According to Forbes back in April of 2022, DiCaprio played a major role in helping to launch the fund of a circular/regenerative company, Regeneration.VC. As a strategic advisor, DiCaprio helped to raise the $45 million.

Forbes writes, "Backed by an all-star roster of strategic advisors and investors including actor Leonardo DiCaprio and circular economy pioneer William McDonough, a fledgling venture capital firm just announced the final close of its first $45 million fund. Called Regeneration.VC, the firm focuses on seed and series A investments in circular and regenerative approaches to consumer industries."

The fund has huge potential, with a $4.5 trillion business opportunity. It is one of the many savvy investments made by DiCaprio, in an effort to make the planet environmentally friendlier. However, Leo has also scored massive pays with completely different companies. One gig in particular saw Leo make a staggering $5 million for a day's work, without further commitments to the company.

Leonardo DiCaprio's Biggest Commercial Deal Came With A Chinese Cell Phone Company

DiCaprio has scored major deals with Tag Heuer and Suzuki. However, none compared to his deal with Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications Corp. DiCaprio was paid a cool $5 million for the overseas deal with the Chinese cell phone company. In addition, the ad was only running in Asia. It was Leo's biggest endorsement deal at the time.

According to Radar Online, the company that hired DiCaprio went all out for the shoot. It seemed like a movie atmosphere more so than an actual commercial.

The publication writes, "Sporting a dark suit and sprinting down a Parisian street, the Inception actor looked like he was shooting a scene for a hot new action flick, but the intense star was actually getting into character for a phone ad. DiCaprio, literally took the shoot in his stride repeating the dramatic dash over and over in order to get the perfect shot."

The publication also teased that Leo wasn't in a rush and wanted to perfect the commercial given that he was making $5 million for the day's work. In truth, DiCaprio is part of a lengthy list of celebs to score a fortune thanks to work overseas.

It ultimately just added to his net worth, while there was no other commitment to the company as a sponsorship deal wasn't signed by the A-list actor.

Leonardo DiCaprio can retire at the very top of Hollywood. In truth, he already solidified his legacy, while he has the net worth to live many lifetimes. However, despite all the success, DiCaprio does not plan on retiring, nor does he want to put his focus on sponsorship deals or commercials. His true passion is for acting, and he plans to ride that out until the wheels fall off.

He tells People, “It’s a good question. I don’t know,” DiCaprio says about the future of his career. “I mean, I suppose at some point I might retire, but I’ve always looked at this as the greatest gift that anyone’s ever given me. I feel like I won the lotto, so I’m going to keep going as long as they’ll have me.”

“I know there’s ebbs and flows in everybody’s career. Sometimes you’re a little hotter, sometimes you’re not. Sometimes you may not be hot at all, but if you love what you do, you gotta just keep doing it.”

Clearly, Leo loves what he does, and he continues to stay hot in Hollywood all these years later. DiCaprio also continues to create a buzz with his upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon.
