The book’s press release reveals its promise to offer a poignant exploration of Maya Henry’s lived experiences, shedding light on issues many people similarly struggle with.

Maya Henry's Book Will Go Into Detail About Her Relationship With Liam Payne

Maya Henry said that she journaled what was happening with her and Liam Payne's relationship and turned it into a fictional novel

The romantic saga between Liam and Maya commenced in August 2018, garnering widespread attention as their relationship unfolded, largely because they were first linked when she was only a teenager, while Liam was six years older.

Their relationship hit a new milestone in 2020 when Liam proposed to Maya, presenting her with a £3 million diamond ring—a gesture emblematic of their profound connection. However, their relationship came to an end in 2022, after Liam was spotted getting close to influencer Aliana Mawla.

In an Instagram post, Maya said that 2020 was a particularly difficult years for her, despite it being the year Liam proposed. “2020 was a dark and scary time for all of us. I was coming off a period in my life filled with a lot of pain,” she wrote. “However, I learned that the great thing about pain is that it can inspire something beautiful.”

“Writing has always been my passion, and I journaled about my experiences throughout the pandemic. Eventually, this journal evolved into a novel," Maya explained.

“I’m very nervous to share a project that was once my most personal outlet of joy and freedom - a story I never intended to share.”

Maya Henry Gave A Trigger Warning For Her Book

Maya Henry wanted to make sure that readers knew that there would be difficult topics raised in her fictional book

Maya, now a model, said she wants her book to inspire and relate to others, but warned it discusses mature subject matter that could be harmful to some readers.

“I hope that by doing so, anyone out there experiencing similar trauma and hardships as my main character will feel less alone," Maya explained. "More details coming soon."

“This book contains sensitive material relating to: abuse, violence, self-harm, drug and alcohol use, eating disorders and abortion.”

Set against a backdrop combining elements of New York and London, cover art for the book seemingly displays Maya walking with her hand in the back pocked of a male figure, whose face and hair is hidden from view by a guitar strategically placed in front. Liam is seemingly the musician portrayed in the cover, especially given its U.K. references.

With the book still unreleased, fans are theorizing what Maya will disclose in the memoir. But given that she’s confirmed it’ll discuss the years she was in a relationship with Liam, and seems to hint at abuse, substances, and abortion, it seems she’s ready to tell a lot from their high-profile romance.

One of Liam’s other most high-profile relationships includes with singer Cheryl Cole (who was 10 years his senior). Their relationship beginning in 2016, even though she met him years before when he auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent and she was a judge.

In March 2017, they welcomed their son, Bear. However, the couple parted ways in 2018, shortly after which he was linked to Maya.
