Lisa was part of the original cast of RHOBH before Brandi debuted as a friend in season 2 and was promoted to a full-time cast member in season 3. Brandi and Lisa were only together as full-time Housewives for three seasons, with Brandi leaving the Bravo show in 2015 after its fifth season. Lisa remained until the ninth season, where she left after a major falling out with Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley.

Lisa and Brandi were originally good friends on the reality TV show before it turned sour. Years after Brandi left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she still believes her downfall and her legal issues with Joanna Krupa are connected to the Vanderpump Rulesstar.

What Happened Between Lisa Vanderpump And Brandi Glanville?

When Brandi Glanville joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she became close to Lisa Vanderpump. The English reality TV star frequently defended Brandi to the other housewives.

It all went wrong in 2013, when rumors about Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's marriage appeared in the press. Brandi claimed that Lisa had put copies of tabloids into her suitcase to embarrass Kyle on their Palm Springs vacation.

When Lisa told Kyle that she "didn't see the tabloids until I got back" from the trip, Brandi called out Lisa's alleged lie over dinner.

Brandi made an appearance on season 9 of RHOBH, where she addressed her feud with the Vanderpump Rules star. "Lisa Vanderpump and I were best friends for five years. Let's be clear," she said.

"Whatever she wants out there, she gets out there."

Speaking with Denise Richards on the RHOBH episode, Brandi said, "Literally, I spent the past three years being punished for crossing her in a way," before adding, "She really in her head does nothing wrong."

In a scathing tweet back in 2019, Brandi Glanville addressed her relationship with Lisa Vanderpump, "My truth about LVP Is that she tried to ruin my life!"

And called the restaurant owner 'her own personal devil.'

Brandi blamed Lisa after she was sued by Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa after she made disparaging comments about the model on Watch What Happens Live. In a November episode of the Bravo show, according to the legal reports, Brandi "knowingly made a false and malicious statement that Mrs. Krupa had sexual relations with Mohamed Hadid while Mr. Hadid was in an intact marriage to Yolanda Foster.”

Before taking a legal route, Joanna took to social media the same night. "No wonder her husband left her," she tweeted, referencing Brandi's ex-husband Eddie Cibrian's affair with LeAnn Rimes.

Brandi then retaliated with, "Well, Mohamed did tell me that her p**** smelled. It's true! I'm not lying! And Lisa Vanderpump was there when he said it. Sorry, b****. I win!"

Brandi Glanville always claimed that Lisa Vanderpump was why she was sued and subsequently lost a significant amount of money.

"She had employees trash my wine, she gave ultimatums on the show. It was either her or me; she conveniently lost her memory during my lawsuit which cost me all of my savings."

Lisa has always denied her involvement in the scandal. "Mohamad Hadid is a man of integrity, he's a gentleman. When she opens her mouth, whatever she says, her remarks have repercussions."

In 2023, Brandi addressed her comments about Lisa ruining her life and why she thinks her co-star "manipulated" her and tried to ruin her career by saying negative comments.

“I know a lot of manipulative people that are my friends. So I, when I said that, I didn’t think it was going to be the end of the line for me. If you cross Lisa, she does not get over it. She will come for you for years to come. She will try to ruin your businesses, try to make sure that you’re irrelevant and you don’t get jobs. It’s almost like she will always have negative things to say about me for the rest of her life.”

How Does Brandi Glanville Now Feel About Lisa Vanderpump?

Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump remain estranged, and no love is lost between the former co-stars.

When Lisa left RHOBH in its ninth season, Brandi did not shy away from expressing her delight. She also believes that Lisa quit before she could be fired. “It would have been [like my situation] all over again. She had no friends [on the show]. She screwed everyone. She was on an island now,” she said. “So for her to come back, it just, it wouldn’t have made sense. And so instead of getting fired, she quit first.”

Brandi admits she sometimes sees Lisa’s vehicle in Beverly Hills when getting her mail, but avoids seeing her former friend.

She did reach out to Lisa after she fell off her horse because, "she’s an older woman and I mean, no offense, like we’re all getting older, it happens to the best of us, but for her to, I think she broke her back. Like that’s insane. So I just sent her a message ’cause at the end of the day, I’m not a bad human and I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her health.”

Although it wasn't all roses, Brandi also admits, “Would I’d like to see her lose some money? Yes. I just [told her], ‘I want you to know I’m thinking about you. I heard about your accident’ [via] email … and I was just like, you know, get well soon kind of thing cause at the end of the day we did have a friendship and if that happened to anyone that I knew personally for that long, I would reach out.”

According to Brandi, Lisa has not responded to any of the times the former model has reached out. In a February 2023 interview on the Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Brandi says she would only resume her friendship with Lisa if she “comes to me and gives me like $560,000 — I’m not going to get into why it’s that number — and says, I’m sorry I tried to like trash all of your businesses and please accept my deepest regret and apologies. Otherwise, nope.”
