One of fans' favorite couples to come out of Love Is Blind was Season 1's Lauren and Cameron Speed-Hamilton. The couple met and married on the reality TV show and recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary.
Though things had been going smoothly for the pair, sadly tragedy struck over the holiday break. Lauren shared on social media that her father had passed away on Christmas Day.
Lauren Posted A Tribute To Her Father On Social Media
On Saturday, December 28th, Lauren took to her personal Instagram account to make the announcement to her followers. She reported that her beloved father, Bill, had unfortunately passed away on Christmas Day. Lauren wrote that her father had previously appeared on the show and that he was an instrumental figure in her life:
It’s so difficult to even make this post. On December 25th, I lost my father, my backbone, and my first love. For those who’ve followed me or met me through Love Is Blind, you’ve seen firsthand how much I loved my Dad + he loved me. He was always my biggest cheerleader/protector, and I’ll forever be a Daddy’s Girl.

As part of her touching tribute to her late father, Lauren went on to describe the immense effect he'd had on her life, sharing with fans what his presence in her life meant to her over the years:
Words can’t fully capture the depth of my heartbreak or how much he meant to me. His laughter and larger than life presence filled EVERY room he entered, and I will carry his love in my heart forever. Please keep my family in your thoughts as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. I LOVE YOU Daddy 🤍🙏🏾 Thank you for everything. I promise to keep killin’ em as you would say and make you proud.

The dating competition is planting its flag in a French-speaking territory.
It was very sweet to see Love Is Blind cast members from entirely different seasons show up for Lauren in her time of grief. Lauren herself appeared to be quite touched by the outpouring of sympathy, and she wound up commenting on her own post expressing her appreciation.
"Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown to my family and me during this difficult time," she wrote. "We are deeply grateful for every kind word, comment, and post. Your support means the world to us. ❤️🙏🏾," she went on to add.
Outside of her personal life, Lauren continues to maintain a position in the spotlight even though her time on the reality TV show has come to an end. She works as a successful social media influencer, where her recent campaigns include a photo shoot for Coke as well as some commercial work for Metro by T-Mobile.
Perhaps most importantly, she and her husband Cameron share a podcast together called "Love Seat." In the episodes, they'll frequently have other reality TV guests on to talk about their experiences as well as their lives since coming off of the show. In a recent episode, they even spoke about their struggles with fertility in an effort to be open with their fans. Hopefully Lauren is able to return to her work after some much-needed time to grieve.
