Love Is Blind Season 8 received mixed reviews from fans. It's nothing new. Each season, fans express doubts about the show's vetting process given the cast members' controversies. This season, Alex Brown was accused of inappropriate behavior involving minors.
He was initially praised for not proposing to Madison Errichiello, who later slammed him for being "a huge liar" in and out of the pods. During the reunion, Madison had a classic reality TV moment when she pulled out printed screenshots of her and Alex's texts from her armpit.
But what fans wanted was for Madison to bring up the allegations against Alex. She later revealed her noble reasons for not doing so.
Madison Didn't Bring Up Alex's Allegations At The Love Is Blind Reunion In Support Of Alleged Victims
Madison Didn't Want To "Invalidate" The Women's Allegations Against Alex
In an interview with Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, Madison said she was aware of the allegations against Alex. She just chose not to discuss it at the reunion because she "doesn't want to ever invalidate these women's stories by [her] involvement."
"You know how the internet is... I just think that my involvement could jeopardize the validity of [the accusers'] story," Madison explained.
However, there are also speculations that Netflix didn't allow contestants to talk about Alex's scandal. Neither the platform nor the creators of Love Is Blind have made an official statement about it.
This is not the first time a cast member of the show has faced such serious accusations. Season 7's Bohdan Olinares seemingly disappeared amid sexual assault allegations.

There Were Warnings Against Alex On Online Dating Forums
Before Season 8 of Love Is Blind aired, there were already warnings against Alex's alleged disturbing past online. They have been deleted since, but Redditors captured some comments leading to the trail.
A Facebook comment claimed that Alex "was ripped to shreds on local dating [Facebook] groups in Minnesota because he would sell alcohol to minors and then ask for sexual pleasures from them."
"On TikTok, someone wrote: "Will not be making a video but Alex used to throw parties in his 20s and would invite only high schoolers...was 16/17 underage drinking while he was banging my friend."
Story Time With Rikkii later compiled receipts from women's alleged first-hand experiences with Alex. They involved text screenshots of the women seemingly being dismissed while confronting Alex about his alleged actions.
Although Rikkii personally believes the accounts from her research, she clearly stated that "these accounts/experiences still remain to be allegations as there is no video or audio proof, criminal convictions, nor has he been held civilly liable, to date."

Madison Didn't Like Alex's "Toxic Positivity" In The Pods
Madison was seen liking a TikTok comment about the allegations against Alex. But even back in the pods, she knew there was something off about their connection.
Speaking about their pod breakup, Madison told People that Alex's "upbeat" personality "got to a point where it was almost this toxic positivity." She also noted that he was not comfortable "sitting in heavy emotions."
Madison told Off the Vine that when she found out about the accusations against Alex, "it's shocking and horrifying, but it's also like, 'yeah that makes sense.'"
"I need someone who's able to be there with me because I'm going to do the same for them," Madison explained. Alex echoed her sentiments, but in a less specific reflection on their incompatibility. "We were just on different pages," he told E! News.
"We realized that a couple times throughout the pod dates, that we just have different styles of communication and we just realized that we were not super compatible," Alex continued.
Nowadays, Madison is staying single and taking time to focus on her healing. "I refuse to date right now. Maybe I'm still avoidant," she told Tudum weeks before the reunion. "But I do think that there has been a lot of self-growth."
Taylor Haag and Daniel Hastings are the only couple that got married (and are still together) in Love Is Blind Season 8.
At that time, Madison was still questioning her perception of Alex. She believed he was dishonest in the pods. "The guy (Alex) in the pods was created for television. And his ultimate goal wasn't to get married," she recalled.
