Similarly to the first season of 'Love Is Blind', the second chapter of Netflix's dating show has left out two couples whose romances happened behind the scenes.

Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the experiment sees the contestants trying to find love in the pods, where they can talk to potential partners without being able to see them... until the day they get engaged. The program zeroes in on the contestants as their wedding days approach to see which couples will actually follow through with their decision.

Fans of the show may know everything about the six couples who made the air and their dramatic, whirlwind love stories. Yet, even the most avid viewers might not know that two pairs — Kara Williams and Jason Beaumont, and Caitlin McKee and Joey Miller — got engaged behind the scenes. They were not invited to Mexico, where the six official couples spent a week after putting a ring on it.

Jason Beaumont Confirmed Relationship With Kara Williams On 'Love Is Blind 2'

Kara and Jason met in the pods and continued their relationship after the reveal, as he confirmed in a since-deleted Instagram post published in February this year.

The flight attendant described Kara as "one of the most charismatic, loving, & supportive people [he's] ever met".

"Kara & I had conversations in 10 days that had never even come up in my previous long term relationships," he said, adding: "Kara found a way to knock that wall down for me & be myself which became the turning point for me in this entire experiment."

Months later, however, it seems that Kara has found her happy with another man. What happened between her and Jason?

"A Failed Engagement": Kara Describes Her 'Love Is Blind' Experience

On February 24, Kara took to Instagram to post a picture of her wearing a wedding ring, proof that Jason had popped the question while on the show. Sadly, she also confirmed things between them had ended in the same post.

"LIB was truly a once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget; one that was worth every risk and an experience that I left with ALMOST zero regret," she wrote in the caption.

"It's easy for people to call the process bullsh*t but it's REAL, I promise you that!"

Kara detailed her 'Love Is Blind' journey, saying that it "had a few curve balls and a failed engagement," without explaining what went wrong between her and Jason.

She then acknowledged the bonds she had created on the show, where she forged friendships with other women.

"The most important part of this experience was bonding with some really incredible women and developing friendships that will last a lifetime, " she wrote, before signing off with: "FUN FACT - I’m no longer engaged!" and a smiley face.

Joey Miller And Caitlin McKee Got Engaged

If you've watched 'Love Is Blind 2,' you may remember Joey Miller for saying how women would always bring up his gray hair on a date.

In February, Joey gave details of his stint on the show, revealing that he and Caitlin McKee fell for one another in the pods and got engaged.

"We vibed from first pod date, got WAY deep WAY fast, surprised each other with Drumsticks/tacos/Tequila/Bieber serenades, got engaged without ever seeing each other, and had an amazing summer and fall together without all the cameras," Joey wrote.

He also thanked the show "for introducing me to such a strong, caring, and compassionate woman". Despite admitting they were no longer together, he said they "absolutely fell in love blindly".

He added: "This was a much more meaningful experience than many who watch perceive it to be. 100% focus dedicated to finding out who I am, what I need in a life partner, and what I can provide to a lifelong relationship. All day, every day, 10 days. For a guy who spends most of his time striving at work or chasing travel experiences, learning how to connect in this way was ultimately one of the best things I've ever done."

Caitlin On Why She And Joey Didn't Go To Mexico

Joey's ex-fiancée Caitlin also confirmed their relationship with a series of pictures, saying they had the chance to bond off-camera.

"What you didn't see is that I also found love in the pods and left the show with a fiancé," Caitlin wrote.

"[Joey] and I had an amazing summer and fall with the opportunity to travel, meet each other's families, and build a genuine relationship without the cameras and crew. Although we ultimately chose to go our separate ways recently, we are choosing to remain friends and he will always hold a special place in my heart."

In a separate post, the contestant took a moment to answer one of the most burning questions from fans of the show: why didn't she and Joey go to Mexico together with the other couples?

"After filming the reveal we were free to go back to Chicago," she simply said.

The couple decided to go on a little vacation of their own to get to know each other better.

"We went to Santa Monica for a few days and enjoyed getting to know each other in person before going back to real life. We hiked, laid at the pool, drank tequila, FaceTimed our family and friends, and celebrated my birthday together!" she wrote.

"We may have not had the opportunity to tell our love story in the same way as the other couples did, but I truly believe everything happens the way it is meant to. I will always be grateful to ['Love Is Blind'] for an experience of a lifetime."

In an interview, the show's creator Chris Coelen explained why certain couples didn't make the cut.

"You only have so many crews and so much budget and so much time," he said.

"It would be amazing to follow everybody, but you just have to decide what feels like a good group to follow."

'Love is Blind' season one and two are streaming on Netflix.
