New Cast Members Make An Appearance

At the start of the episode, we're dropped into a date between Stephen and Monica, who both talk about the importance of communication and emotional vulnerability. In an effort to be completely honest, Stephen discloses that he emotionally cheated in his last relationship because he believed he didn't "deserve" his partner. Monica is appreciative of his honesty and of how he's since grown from the experience.

Their conversation shifts to politics, where Stephen admits he voted for Trump in 2016 but ended up voting for Biden in 2020 when he didn't like how Trump had handled things during his term. He then goes on to say that he grew up thinking of himself as white, but that he recently learned from a DNA test that he's actually part West African, which was a bit of a shock to his sense of identity. Monica shares that she's also mixed race, a combination of Honduran, Latina, and Cherokee, so she understands his crisis of identity.

The New Season Of Love Is Blind Will Feature A Sibling Rivalry

Meanwhile, Hannah's in the women's living quarters, seemingly regretting breaking up with Nick. Later, Brittany has a date with Leo and confesses how she accidentally mentioned his name in front of Hannah, potentially upsetting her. "I just want to focus on you and I," Leo tells her, not wanting to talk about other matches. Though he's scared to actually say the words, he admits he's getting close to feeling like he's in love with her.

Coming out of their date, Leo tells Brittany that both she and Hannah are #1 to him, an admission that makes Brittany roll her eyes. Their date ends with Brittany in tears, saying she knew this was going to happen.

Among the newer cast, we also meet Bohdan, who was originally born in the Ukraine, and Marissa. The two initially bond over their love for reading and fantasy worlds. Bohdan shares that when the war in Ukraine broke out, he took time off work to go there to help, pulling from his military background to do so. He grows emotional describing how his parents supported his efforts, and Marissa is empathetic about how tough it must've been on him.

Marissa also goes on a date with Ramses, who tells her that she's been his top choice for a while. Given that Marissa is still exploring her connection with Bohdan, Ramses jokes that he's worried he'll end up in a love triangle.

Hannah Gives Nick Another Shot

Next, we see Hannah agreeing to meet with Nick for another pod date, telling him she feels like she's "going insane" trying to figure out what's going on. She apologizes for hurting Nick, telling him she broke things off out of fear that he might've ended things with her first.

Nick takes the moment to get more vulnerable, telling Hannah that he has his own anxieties about their situation:

Maybe I sound confident and maybe I'm saying the right things, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared too. What if you don't like what you see? I have doubts too. It goes both ways.

Later, Hannah and Leo get a chance to chat, the two agreeing that they each need to explore both of their additional connections in order to come to a final decision and be fair to one another.

Later, when Taylor gets back to the women's quarters, she's surprised with a bouquet of sunflowers, which she'd previously mentioned to Garrett are her favorite. The flowers are his gesture to officially ask Taylor to be his girlfriend, and she's touched by his thoughtfulness, telling the cameras that they've quickly become so much more than friends.

In their next pod date, Taylor reads Garrett a letter about her feelings for him. She confesses to him that he's been the one on her mind all along, and that she's looking forward to building towards a shared life together:

You've really been the perfect husband with all the words of affirmation I didn't know I needed. So thank you for being vulnerable and persistent with me. Our connection is magnetic.

Garrett says that he loves everything about her and feels that they're meant to be together. With that, he gets down on one knee and proposes to her, to which Taylor says "Absolutely."
