This season of Love Is Blind has been filled with many major breakups. At the end of Season 7 of the reality TV show, only two couples were left to actually go through with their weddings, the rest having crumbled earlier on.
One of the pairs who called it quits during the show was Marissa and Ramses, who called off their wedding before the ceremony could proceed. However, now Marissa has explained that, months after the show ended, she tried getting back together with Ramses, but he shut her down a second time.
Marissa And Ramses Had A Tear-Filled Breakup On The Show
In one of the more heart-wrenching moments of the season, Marissa and Ramses had a difficult conversation at their shared apartment. Almost out of nowhere, it seemed like Ramses had begun to doubt wanting to get married, sharing with Marissa that he'd spoken with some of his family members and realized how much of a "risk" it was to be getting married a second time.
Marissa seemed thrown by Ramses' comments, pointing out that falling in love and committing to someone was always risky, but that it was worth it if they truly loved each other. That said, it seemed as though Ramses had already made up his mind, and he apologized to her, making her realize he was breaking up with her.

How Racism Played A Part In Tyler's Experience On Love Is Blind
The cast member got candid about what he did and didn't feel comfortable sharing with the cameras.
Afterward, we saw Marissa crying her eyes out on the floor of the apartment, saying that she couldn't believe it was really happening. To the cameras, she shared how shocked she was that everything she and Ramses had built together could be taken away so suddenly. Since then, Marissa has shared more about what her communication with Ramses has been like since filming concluded.
Ramses Apparently Rejected Marissa A Second Time
In an interview with Glamour, Marissa revealed that getting over the breakup wasn't easy, admitting that it took her nearly six months "to get back on track and to really start to move on." What's worse, it seems that she and Ramses were still in communication with one another, so much so that it gave her hope they'd give things another shot:
I saw him a few times when I was in D.C., and there was one time where we talked one day for like, eight and a half [or] nine hours on the phone, and I thought we were gonna get back together after that.
Apparently, the two got into a habit of having long phone calls together, which made Marissa further wonder if things were indeed headed towards restarting their relationship. For as much as Marissa may have been reading into the phone calls, however, it seems that Ramses was still on another page that he was failing to communicate.
After the chats had gone on for quite a while, Marissa explained, she made a bold move and asked Ramses if he'd like to try dating again. Unfortunately, it seems, Ramses shut her down for the second time.
In the aforementioned Glamour article, Marissa was candid in describing her shameless ask:
[Back in] February or March, I did ask him if he wanted to get back together. I’m not really ashamed to say that because I’m someone who’s like, ‘If you feel it, you feel it, like, what’s the worst that can happen?’ And he’s like, ‘Nah.’ So after that, we just stopped communication.
Given the briefness of Ramses' response, it's no surprise that Marissa remains confused about what really went wrong at the end of their relationship. "To this day, I don’t know if he really has a good reason," she told the outlet, admitting that while she's tried to look for a single thing to blame, she still hasn't been able to.

You Won't Believe Love Is Blind's Garrett's "Married Man" Glow-Up
Garrett's new look is turning heads.
Moving forward, Ramses and Marissa will see each other at least once more when the Love Is Blind Season 7 reunion airs. The episode is set to drop on Netflix on Wednesday, October 30th, and fans will get to see their favorite cast members as well as their most hated villains come together for the event.
No doubt fans will be curious to see Ramses explain himself to the rest of the cast members, as he's quickly been deemed the surprise villain of the season for how he treated Marissa. The reunion will also give Marissa a platform to finally respond about the way things went down in her shattered engagement.
