In the wake of the revelation of their romantic connection, various reports caution that the Outer Banks actress is only interested in having fun and doesn’t see the relationship lasting long.
The actress was recently seen out solo in a sheer dress while attending the Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 Paco Rabanne fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week on Thursday, September 28. The actress looked chic in the white dress, while covering up with a purple two-piece outfit underneath. Madelyn kept her long hair down for the occasion. But despite the happy look on Madelyn's face, sources say it's not going to last long between her and Pete.
Madelyn Doesn’t See Thing Lasting With Pete
“Madelyn anticipates her current relationship with Pete as just a good time and it will not be her last one,” a source told Daily Mail.
“She thinks he is hilarious, and fun and she is all about hanging out with him, but she is 25, and she doesn't want anything serious, she wants to chase fun, and she thinks Pete [who is 29] thinks the same and their relationship is all about having a good time,” they continued.
Though their romance may only be casual, Pete and Madelyn have been seen spending a lot of time together. This includes a sighting on Monday, when the pair were seen boarding a private jet following Pete’s stand-up performance in Phoenix. Madelyn and Pete didn’t shy away from showing PDA as they boarded the aircraft.
Before that, the new couple were seen getting close to each other in Los Angeles and even spending the night together at a hotel.
“Pete and Madelyn are dating. They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning,” a source told Us Weekly earlier in the month. “They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats.”
Pete Has A Lot Going On In His Personal Life
Madelyn may be moving forward cautiously given all that Pete has been navigating in his personal life recently. Not only did the Saturday Night Live alum recently break-up with actress Chase Sui Wonders, after nearly a year of dating, but he’s fresh out of rehab and still pending reckless driving charges stemming from an incident with Wonders.
The car accident happened in March 2023 when Pete's vehicle allegedly swerved onto the sidewalk, colliding with a fire hydrant before ultimately crashing into a residence. Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that alcohol and substances were not contributing factors, but speed played a significant role in the crash. Pete’s charges are currently pending.
Several months later, in June, Pete's spokesperson officially announced his admission to a treatment facility for mental health-related issues.
“Pete Davidson has been in rehab and is being treated for mental health issues,” an insider disclosed to Entertainment Tonight. “He can be manic and wasn’t sleeping well or taking good care of himself, so he decided to go to get help, take a break, and get back on track. Pete is focusing on himself.”
Only a month after leaving the treatment facility, it was revealed Pete and Chase had broken up, though the pair have had no further comment on their split. For her part, Madelyn hasn’t been linked to anyone since Zack Bia in 2021.
