Margot Robbie appears to have deleted her Instagram account, leaving fans in despair.

The Australian A-lister had previously announced she would take a break from Instagram, but never hinted at deleting her account altogether.

Margot Robbie Has Deleted Her Instagram Account

Robbie has recently reprised the role of Harley Quinn in James Gunn’s R-rated baddie adventure The Suicide Squad. She is also set to star on the upcoming Wes Anderson movie set in Spain, fulfilling a lifelong dream of working with the whimsical auteur.

Earlier this year, Robbie shared with her followers that she would still be social media active to promote the work of her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

The company produced last year’s critically acclaimed Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan as Cassie, a woman grappling with trauma as she poses as drunk in bars to lure in sexual predators.

It is not clear whether Robbie will return to Instagram at present. The LuckyChap Entertainment’s Instagram page hasn’t been updated since April this year, when the film directed by Emerald Fennell won Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars.

Robbie has never hugely used her Instagram account. Nonetheless, she famously announced she and Tom Ackerley had gotten married in 2016 with an iconic picture where she appears to flip off the camera but is actually showing off her ring finger, adorned with a pear-shaped diamond band.

Robbie Fans Just Want Her To Get Back On Instagram

Fans of the actress and producer were sad to see her leaving the social media realm. Some took to Twitter to voice their desperation upon realizing Robbie’s page is now unavailable.

“margot robbie deactivated her instagram this is the final straw,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“margot robbie deactivating her instagram worst thing that ever happened to me come back,” another person tweeted.

“margot robbie deleted her instagram…… this is it for me guys. i’m giving up on life,” another tweet reads.

While we’d love to see Robbie back on Instagram with the odd picture, it’s also good to take a break from socials every now and then. While it isn’t clear why Robbie chose to delete her profile, other celebrities have done the same in the past in order to protect their mental health.
