Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Leonardo DiCaprio have amazing chemistry, and the trio of actors showed off their friendship while promoting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But their collaborative interviews also showcased something else about the trio: their film interests.
During one interview, Margot Robbie was shocked that Brad and Leo hadn't seen a film that she — and many others — considers a classic. Of course, Margot also revealed she hadn't seen some films that Leonardo gave her a hard time about.
Margot Robbie Was Shocked Leonardo And Brad Had Not Seen The Sound Of Music
Margot couldn't believe her co-stars hadn't seen the classic film
The Sound of Music is a classic musical film most people watched in their early days of youth or, at the very least, sometime during their lives.
Margot Robbie was rightly astonished that her co-stars in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood had not seen the film, and she exclaimed "wow" upon hearing their admission.
"I have never seen The Sound of Music," Brad Pitt admitted when asked if there was a classic movie they hadn't seen. "I have never seen The Sound of Music either," Leonardo interjected. Margot exclaimed, "What?"
"You’ve seen it?" Pitt asked Robbie.
"Like, a thousand times," the Barbie actress confessed.
"I figured I've gone this long [without seeing the movie], why start now? All the way, I refuse to see The Sound of Music," Brad Pitt revealed.
It’s not the first time the actress has got a shock from her Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-stars. Margot Robbie was surprised when Leonardo and Brad Pitt revealed they both got mistaken for Matt Damon. However, not seeing a classical film tops the list of shocking reveals for Margot.
It was Leonardo’s turn to exclaim at the other pair for not seeing another classic film. The Babylon co-stars revealed they hadn't seen Gone With The Wind, getting a rise from DiCaprio.
Everyone knows Leonardo DiCaprio loves making period movies and a classical theme, so hearing them state they haven’t watched one of the most classical films certainly was minus to him.
Leonardo DiCaprio Was Stunned That Margot Robbie Had Not Seen Star Wars
Margot wasn't the only one in for a surprise; Leo was shocked she hadn't watched the Lucas Films saga
Still on the topic of must-see films, Margot revealed Leonardo DiCaprio often got mad at her for not seeing some classical films.
"I remember when you [DiCaprio] and I did Wolf Of Wolf Street that you would get mad at me anytime I'd mention a movie I hadn't seen. He'd be like, 'how have you not seen Citizen Kane?'
'How can you work in this industry and not see Citizen Kane?'
"I'm like, 'I just got here to this industry, you've had more time to watch this stuff.' Then I'd go home and watch Citizen Kane and all the movies he'd tell me I had to see," Robbie revealed.
While this was a shocker to DiCaprio, Margot’s admission to not seeing one of the most-talked-about franchises is a runoff. Margot Robbie revealed she has not ever seen Star Wars — not anything from the franchise, that is.
"I’ve never seen any Star Wars, and I kind of don't watch it now just because it infuriates people so much," she stated.
Margot explained further, "They’re like, 'how?! How have you never watched any Star Wars?' And now, I just want to see how long I can make it [without seeing them]."
Brad, Leo, And Margot Appear To Have Remained Close
Even after wrapping their film, the trio has excellent chemistry
While having different reactions to not seeing classical films, the trio have shown they have good chemistry, having appeared in different movies together.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actors showed how comfortable they are with each other, having appeared in other films together. Before the Quintin Tarantino film, Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio starred in The Wolf of Wall Street as a couple. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio got their start together in the ABC sitcom Growing Pains.
Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie appeared in The Big Short, although her cameo appearance did not share the same screen as Brad Pitt's character. However, the third time would prove to be the charm, even though Babylon did not get the raving reviews they wanted.
The trio's interactions while promoting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were some of the most organic viewers had seen, especially as they ribbed one another for their film preferences. Fans can only hope that the three will appear in another film together at some point.
