The actors played best friends turned love interests, Matt "Matty" Flamhaff and the uber cool Jenna Rink in Gary Winick's beloved rom-com 13 Going On 30. And they just surprised their many fans by sharing a long overdue throwback to the film!
The former co-stars met up in Canada while filming for The Adam Project, and shared a sweet selfie to mark the occasion. They play Ryan Reynolds' parents in the sci-fi time travel film!
Matty And Jenna Have Grown Up!
MCU actor Mark Ruffalo posted a sweet selfie with his fellow co-star Jennifer Garner to his social media profiles on Tuesday. In the caption, he made a fun reference to Razzles, the popular candy from the much loved 2004 film.
"Reconnecting with an old pal. Anyone know where we can get Razzles in Canada?" he wrote alongside the photo.
Jennifer Garner shared the photo to Instagram too, making a 13 Going On 30 reference of her own. "Wishing dust worked! And I got a perfect day with my old pal," she said.
The selfie of their reunion met with love from several celebrities and fans!
Giselle Eisenberg wrote, "Say “Hi” to Matty! Get some #Razzles!"
"Oh my goodness. I love this so much and the two people in it!!!" shared Juliette Lewis.
"13 goin on tremendous (still workin on it)," said Kevin Weisman.
It's been over 15 years since the film released, but 13 Going On 30 fans haven't stopped talking about it. They've waited a long time to see the pair play a couple on-screen again, and their wish will finally come true in director Shawn Levy's The Adam Project.
The sci-fi film follows Ryan Reynolds' character as he travels back in time, along with his 13-year-old self. He's on an incredible mission and is searching for his deceased father (aka Ruffalo), a scientist, and the only one who can help save the future.
The Adam Project also stars Zoe Saldana (who plays Reynold's wife), Catherine Keener and Alex Mallari Jr. Reportedly, the entire cast is filming in Vancouver, Canada right now, and that's why we've been so lucky to have been blessed with Mark and Jennifer's reunion selfie.
If only we could have a 13 Going On 30 sequel too!
