A producer was there with them during the fight, so Rachel walked her out when she left. But when Rachel tried to go back into their apartment, she found out Jose locked her out. She was up all night trying to find a place to stay. Rachel tried to talk it out with Jose when he finally let her back into the apartment, but he was reluctant to apologize and was barely talking to her. During the episode, Rachel told Jose, “I don’t feel like that you’re remorseful at all. I don’t feel that you’re apologetic at all and yeah, I cannot be your wife.” Everyone thought that was the end of the road for them.

During the season 13 reunion, Rachel and Jose revealed that they took a break a little while after they decided to stay married. They couldn’t handle constantly arguing, so they decided to take a break and see if it would help to be apart for a little while.
