Married at First Sight is back with a fresh set of couples! This time, the Lifetime show’s casting team decided to set their sights on the West Coast, giving ten San Diego residents a chance at walking away with a life partner. As is custom, each cast member is expected to take the plunge into marriage, relying solely on the audacious matchmaking efforts of Married at First Sight’s team of relationship experts.
After tying the knot, the couples are given eight weeks to decide whether to stay married or walk away. Given the short timeframe, these decisions rely heavily on the couples’ first impressions of each other. With that in mind, let’s take a look at how Married at First Sight season 15’s newlyweds felt about meeting their partners for the first time.
10 Justin Was Blown Away By Alexis
Thirty-three-year-old digital marketing expert, Justin, had a huge smile plastered on his face as soon as he saw his bride walking down the aisle.
As for what was going through his mind at the time, Justin recently told E! News, "I was like, 'Daaaaamn! I was blown away, but when she opened her mouth [is] when she really got me. [She has a good] personality and [is] good looking, best of both worlds right there."
9 Alexis Thought Justin Looked Familiar
While Justin was busy marveling at her beauty, Alexis was finding her new husband oddly familiar.
When asked about her first impression of Justin in an interview with E! News, the 29-year-old logistics specialist teased, "Walking down the aisle to see my husband, I was like, 'He looks very familiar.' That's all I'll say."
8 Stacia Was Extremely Nervous Before Meeting Nate
37-year-old Stacia was a bundle of nerves before walking down the aisle. "I have the sweats... I wanna throw up, pass out,” she told E! News. “I just wanna get this over with and meet my husband."
Fortunately, all these anxieties floated away as soon as she saw her very handsome groom at the altar.
7 Seeing Stacia At The Altar Was A Relief For Nate
34-year-old Nate couldn’t help but question Married at First Sight experts’ matchmaking skills on his wedding day.
"I'm just like, 'What the hell did I sign up for?'” he told E! News. “I'm waiting at the alter now and I'm really hoping that Shrek doesn't come down the aisle." Fortunately, these fears were put to rest when he saw his stunning prospective life partner.
6 Binh Was Anxious Before Taking His Vows
Taking the leap into marriage can be extremely nerve-wracking even for couples who have known each other for ages. Unsurprisingly, Binh was extremely nervous about making this lifetime commitment to a complete stranger.
The 29-year-old engineer opened up about his fears in a recent interview with E! News, disclosing that he had "a hundred different thoughts in [his] mind" before the wedding.
5 Morgan Was Going Through A Rollercoaster Of Emotions
Plunging into marriage with a complete stranger was as terrifying for Morgan as it was for Binh. Fortunately, Morgan's anxiety dissipated as soon as she started walking down the aisle.
The 27-year-old registered nurse confessed to E! News, "I was so nervous, I was anxious, I was a roller coaster of emotions. But finally walking down the aisle, you kinda just forget about all of that."
4 Krysten Was Instantly Attracted To Mitch
Like her fellow cast members, Krysten was extremely nervous on her wedding day. As for her first impression of Mitch, Krysten disclosed to E! News that she "was really attracted to [him] immediately."
Evidently, the 32-year-old sales representative’s decision to walk down the aisle, despite being incredibly apprehensive, paid off.
3 Mitch Couldn’t Believe He Was Actually Getting Married
For Mitch, signing up for Married at First Sight "was kind of all fun and games until the wedding day.” The 41-year-old did not fully appreciate the ramifications of his decision until the wedding day when “it all hit [him] really hard.”
As for his impression of Krysten, the environmental policy advocate disclosed to E! News, “When I saw Krysten walk down the aisle with her dad, I was definitely like, 'Oh my God, this is for real.'"
2 Lindy Was Excited To Marry Miguel
Unlike most in her place, 29-year-old Lindy was actually excited to meet her new husband. Fortunately, seeing Miguel at the altar only heightened the doctor of physical therapy’s delight.
Lindy recently admitted to E! News, "The second I saw Miguel, I was very excited. I thought he looked so handsome. I loved his suit. I immediately had a crush on him."
1 Miguel Was Instantly Certain His Marriage To Lindy Would Work
Unlike Lindy, Miguel was understandably anxious on their allotted wedding day. However, upon seeing his bride, the 35-year-old associate medical director was convinced that Married at First Sight relationship experts had made the right choice.
In his interview with E! News, Miguel recalled thinking, “OK, this could work" as soon as he saw Lindy walking down the aisle.
