'Friends' truly had something special and the connection of the cast transferred on-screen. Jennifer Aniston became a huge star thanks to the show, and it turns out, some of her fellow cast members were quietly crushing on her.
We'll take a look at Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer's crush, along with taking a look at a moment back in 1994, that might've shown their instead in the woman portraying Rachel Green.
Both Matt LeBlanc And David Schwimmer Revealed They Crushed On Jennifer Aniston Early On
The cast remained incredibly close throughout its decade long run and that holds true up until this very day. The chemistry between the cast was instant, and that would even include certain crushes.
Not only did Matt LeBlanc reveal that he crushed on Aniston early on, but David Schwimmer also made the same reveal. According to David, the timing between himself and Jen was just never right.
“I had a major crush on Jen. At some point we were both crushing hard on each other. But it was like two ships passing. One of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
It seems like the feeling was mutual for Aniston and her feelings towards Schwimmer. According to Jen, she didn't want their first kiss to be on national television, but that's exactly what took place.
“I remember saying one time to David, It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is on national television. And sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,” Aniston added. “We channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
Although the two recently revealed their crush on the 'Friends Reunion', some fans spotted the crush during a behind the scenes moment back in 1994.
Fans Noticed The Crush In A Throwback Interview With Jennifer Aniston
Entertainment Tonight went deep into the vault, reposting an interview alongside Jennifer Aniston that took place during the show's first season back in 1994.
During the hilarious questioning, Aniston kept on getting interrupted by the cast, which included Schwimmer and LeBlanc. The two were basically using props to interrupt the interview, walking in front of the ET cameras. Aniston's reaction to the antics can be seen in the video below.
Matthew Perry gets the award for the greatest interruption, using an actual person to walk through the frame with!
"They're usually really funny but their just not thinking today," Aniston said of her castmates. Aniston would also state that Ross would be the character her real-life self would get along with best. However, given the way Ross' character evolved throughout the seasons, we're not quite sure if that held true!
Even Back Then Fans Noticed The Great Chemistry Between The Cast
Of course, fans had a lot to say about the viral clip, which has over four million views on YouTube. Comments were all over the place, with fans loving the cast and their chemistry, along with commenting on Matt and David's crush.
"Matt Leblanc and David Schwimmer, both had a crush on Jennifer Aniston during the show, well, I can't blame them, who doesn't?"
"It is absolutely crazy to me that legitimately, the cast and crew had absolutely no idea just how big of a phenomenon this was going to be. You just take the job cause you either need it or like the script or both, hoping it won’t be canceled right away and, BAM, that job ends up being one of the biggest shows of all time. Absolutely nuts. LOVE this show and this cast and always will!"
Fans would also make jokes about why Courteney Cox was not present in the behind the scenes moment. "Monica was off camera rearranging all the equipment that Chandler, Joey and Ross were pushing around the set to interrupt Rachel."
Surreal to think how huge the show would become years later and its impact can still be felt today.
