Not everyone is fully aware of her past, and that included a couple of TNT interviewers during the SAG Awards. It would lead to an awkward moment and one that stunned the interviewers.

What Happened Between Mayim Bialik And The 'TNT' SAG Awards Interviewers?

Mayim Bialik started off her journey as a childhood actress during the '80s. However, she would pursue another career for 12 years, studying neuroscience. Yes, that's right, she definitely is the most credible cast member on 'The Big Bang Theory'.

When speaking alongside US News, Mayim discussed the experience and road to getting there. According to the actress, she fell in love with it as a teen, and at the start, she wasn't all that into math and science. Of course, that would later all change.

"I was an actor in my teen years but fell in love with science when I was a teenager. I never thought math and science were for me."

"I was out of Hollywood pretty much for 12 years, and I did my undergraduate degree in neuroscience and Hebrew Jewish studies, and then I went straight to a PhD program. I got married to someone that I met in calculus class, which is very sweet, and we are divorced now, but we did have two nerdy children together."

Mayim would further reveal that she teached neuroscience for junior high and high school homeschoolers before her degree. Once she returned to acting following her studies, it is safe to say her career completely changed on 'The Big Bang Theory'.

"I eventually returned to acting – on "The Big Bang Theory," which is a show I had never seen before, because I was a nerdy mom – because I ran out of health insurance. Here we are all these years later, and I see the world as a neuroscientist. I see the world through the lens of science and physics and, in particular, neuropsychiatry."

As remarkable as all of this is, not everyone is aware, and that includes a certain duo from TNT, who interviewed Bialik on the red carpet.

It started off as an innocent interview and then suddenly, it took an awkward twist. On the red carpet during the SAG Awards, the interviewer would ask Mayim, "How many people think that you can solve calculus at the drop of a hat?"

Mayim would answer, "I actually trained in calculus for several years, I'm a neuroscientist, you made not have known that."

Being the sport that she is, Mayim kept a positive attitude throughout the interview, stating that a PhD isn't necessary to appear on the show. She left them off lightly and fans were praising the star for it.

What Did The Fans Think About The Awkward SAG Awards Moment?

The moment was viewed by over 300,000 fans on platforms like YouTube. In the comment section, it was nothing but praise for the 'Big Bang' star and how she handled the interview, with nothing but class.

"The female report literally almost fell over when she learned Mayim was a scientist. Was it because she was stunned or because she realized they asked a stupid question and were going to end up on YouTube just like this."

"I can imagine the satisfaction she must've felt as soon as she stunned them both with her answer. Even I felt the power."

"I think she's just tired of getting questions like these that bring out a dichotomy of her intelligence in the Big Bang Theory with her life outside of acting. She really is intelligence which is possible for actors/actresses but at the same time, you don't need to have a PhD to watch the show."

We can all agree, Bialik handled it all with so much class.
