Melania Trump Admits Donald Trump Needed A Second After She Broke The Pregnancy News

On March 20, 2006, Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, was born. Donald decided not to be in the delivery room, wanting to stay out of Melania's way. The delivery was a smooth one, with Melania calling it, "very easy." Donald was the motivation behind the name, Barron. Though he had last minute thoughts about changing it.

Trump revealed, “It’s a name I’ve always loved but I never had the courage to use. I gave the idea to Melania and then I was going to take it away at the very end and she said, ‘You can’t take it away! I’ve been calling him Barron while he’s been in my stomach and you just can’t take it away!’ ”

But prior to the name came the pregnancy news. It was a huge moment for Melania, but it seemed like Donald needed some extra time to process what was going to take place.

Melania admits, “He came home [one day last August], and I told him he’d be a daddy. And his reaction was ... at first he needed to take it in. It was a real surprise. And then he was very happy."

Donald Trump himself did confirm that he was taken aback by the news. He had every intention of starting a family with Melania, but the former President just didn't expect it to happen so fast.

“I expected we were going to have children, so I wasn’t totally surprised. But I was surprised by the speed of it. It happened very quickly.”

Melania called their initial encounter inappropriate, and we completely understand why. During his interview with the late Larry King, Trump stated that he was supposed to meet a different model when he first met his future wife, Melania.

"I went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else," Trump recalled with Larry King. "There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania. I was supposed to meet this supermodel. They said, 'Look, there's so and so.' I said, 'Forget about her. Who is the one on the left? And it was Melania."

Melania agreed that the two had a great time. But still, she was hesitant to give Trump her number.

"It was a great chemistry and energy," Melania concurred. "We had a great time. We started to talk. And, you know, something was there right away."

"He wanted my number, but he was with a date, so of course I didn't give it to him. I said, 'I am not giving you my number; you give me yours, and I will call you.' I wanted to see what kind of number he would give me—if it was a business number, what is this? I'm not doing business with you."

Trump gave Melania multiple numbers and shortly after, the two went on their first date together.

Baron Trump Is In The Headlines After Declining To Serve As An RNC Delegate

Barron Trump was all over the headlines after Donald Trump suggested that his son Barron was constantly giving him political advice.

“He’s a great guy. He’s a little on the tall side, I will tell you. He’s a tall one. But he’s a good looking guy, and he’s really been a great student and he does like politics. It’s sort of funny, he’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do,’” Donald Trump said.

He continued, “So anyway, he’s a good guy. He’s a senior now in high school and he’ll be going to college. And you know a lot of these choices of colleges are changing because you see what’s going on in the last month, Biden has totally lost control of the country.”
