Newman said, "My guess is that she would get primary custodial rights and he would get access whenever he happens to be in town. In this situation, if she has $50 million, she can afford to buy something. But $50 million, while it’s definitely a lot of money, in New York City, for what she’s used to, she wouldn’t be able to replicate what she has now. He probably had a good sense of what kind of lifestyle they’d be living, so I would imagine the payout would be fairly generous."

Melania Trump has changed her prenup a few times, though. In 2020, according to People, the book "The Art of the Deal" said that when Melania didn't move into the White House as soon as Donald became President, she wanted to change the details of their agreement.

As this book stated, Melania wanted to ensure that Barron would receive money in the future, just like Donald's children Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump.

In September 2023, Page Six reported that another renegotiation of the prenup took place. A source said, “This agreement was necessary because of the current legal battles … [Donald] has suffered." The source said, “Trump remains very rich, but with mounting legal bills and judgments," Melania was allegedly concerned about Barron receiving enough money.

The source explained:

"It’s not that she threatened to leave him. It’s definitely the underlying idea.”
