During an interview with Collider, Monaghan was asked which of her roles has made her most nervous to film, and she named the action franchise given the timing.

"Mission: Impossible III, for sure. For sure," she explained. "It was J.J. Abrams. It was just such a big film."

Monaghan walked down the aisle to Peter White in 2005, who she’s still married to – shortly before filming for Mission: Impossible III began. Due to a last-minute scheduling change, the couple had to cancel their honeymoon plans to accommodate filming for the movie.

Monaghan acknowledged how important the role was going to be for her career, so there was no alternative when filming forced her to cut her honeymoon short. But she admits it felt weird to e locking lips with Cruise on set when she was supposed to be vacationing with her new husband.

"I remember going to work, and Tom and I had kind of an intimate scene, and of course that was the first scene," Michelle continued.

Tom Cruise has been in the acting game since the early 1980s. He's made his mark in the industry countless times, but these are his biggest movies.

To this day, Michelle is proud of her husband’s reaction to the situation, calling it “sweet.” "[It’s a] testament to the man that I married, who has just been totally supportive and is excited and jazzed for the opportunities,” she went on.

Michelle wasn’t the only one spoken for during the filming of Mission: Impossible III. Tom would go on to marry Katie Holmes in 2006. But the couple were first romantically linked the year prior, so Katie and Tom may have been an item when he was filming with Monaghan.

Cruise is currently working on Mission: Impossible 8, though its release date was briefly pushed back following the writers’ strike. It’s still expected to hit theatres sometime next year.
