Miley Cyrus's History Of Controversies
Miley Cyrus's parents Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus were always very involved in her acting and singing careers. This is likely because she got started at such a young age. Miley began starring on Hannah Montana when she was 13, and it's easy to imagine that she had no idea how successful she would become.
As the years passed, Miley Cyrus became part of many different controversies, and people had a lot of opinions about her.
In 2013, the singer sang "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke and twerked against him, which people didn't like. A few years earlier, in 2009, the singer performed “Party in the U.S.A." at the 2009 Video Music Awards and danced using a pole.
There was also the time in 2008 when Miley was on the cover of Vanity Fair. Instead of wearing an actual outfit, she had a sheet over her body.
Because Miley starred on Hannah Montana, people didn't think that the Vanity Fair picture was a good idea as it clashed with her Disney brand.
According to Billboard, Miley said, “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic,’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

It should be more shocking that when I was 11 or 12, I was put in full hair and makeup, a wig, and told what to wear by a group of mostly older men."
What Did Miley Cyrus's Mom Tish Cyrus Say About Her Daughter's Controversies?
While Tish Cyrus has always seemed to be proud of her daughter Miley Cyrus, she doesn't appear to have commented on any of Miley's scandals or controversies. However, there was one time when she did criticize her daughter.
In September 2019, Page Six reported that Tish referred to Miley as "bratty." Miley explained, “My mom just called me ‘disgusting.' There was a gorgeous sunset and I was inside on my phone ‘serving content.’ “It’s hard to get in trouble once you’re an adult but she said I looked like a ‘bratty millennial,’ which I do, but is it bad if I like the pic and wanna post? Is that worst?”
It's possible that Tish was focused on making sure that Miley's career stayed on track and didn't want to talk publicly about any controversies. She might not have wanted to talk to the media about her daughter's scandals. Perhaps she thought that would add fuel to the fire and make things a lot worse.
Miley's acting and singing career was definitely more demanding when she was younger. According to LMFM Country, Miley began recording TikTok videos called "Used To Be Young" and talked about the routine that she used to follow. LMFM Country noted that after Miley went through her routine, her mom Tish said "That truly was the next four years of your life."

Arrive at 6pm for kids' online interview then at 6.15 we have another interview."
Since Tish was of course aware of how busy Miley was and how hard she was working, she might not have wanted to talk about anything negative.
It's also true that while Miley was causing controversy, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus experienced a lot of problems in their marriage.
People reported that Billy Ray wanted a divorce in 2010. After that, the couple managed to make things work... but then Tish asked for a divorce in June 2013. One month later, they said that they would stay married. In April 2022, their marriage seemed to be officially over and Tish was the one who asked for a divorce that time.
It seems that both Miley and Tish Cyrus have completely moved on from Miley's past. Miley was the Maid of Honor at Tish's 2023 wedding to Dominic Purcell.
In August 2023, Miley explained to Vogue that she had a wonderful experience on the big day. Miley said, “To see my mom this happy and in love is very emotional for me.
