On a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miranda Cosgrove dropped by to talk about the new iCarly revival. When she was asked about her fellow cast members, the 28-year-old actress jokingly recalled the time her co-star Jerry Trainor hung a “hideous portrait” of her in his house. The actor played her on-screen brother in the original Nickelodeon show, and reprises the role in the reboot.

The School of Rock star revealed that Trainor asked her to “hook him up” with a spray tan. She revealed that this was “out of character” for the co-star, but she was happy to help. However, it turned out to be a total disaster.

Unfortunately, Trainor didn’t wash the spray tan off, and as a result, he showed up to a promotional event looking bright orange. Fallon himself even compared the actor to the notorious Nickelodeon blimp.

“So he was very upset and he blamed me,” she explained.

While the cast was filming an episode for the revival, Cosgrove explained that she had to make “a crazy, hideous face” and it turned into an Andy Warhol-inspired piece of art.

Still miffed at his co-star, Trainor asked to take the picture home, to get her back for the spray tan incident. He even reposted the artwork on Instagram, and tagged the young actress in the post.

Since the beloved Nickelodeon show ended in 2012, the actors have remained close friends. In June, Trainor told Entertainment Weekly that Cosgrove feels like a “real-life little sister,” despite their relationship getting "too real" at times.

"She and I talk on the phone, sometimes too much," he told the outlet. "She tells me too much stuff that I don't want to hear, frankly, about her dating life. It's pretty bad and gross. Don't tell her I said that."

Cosgrove admitted that she confides in her long-time co-star, and would ask him for dating advice. "We don't live too far from each other and we always keep up with each other and he's always trying to help me with my bad dating stories," she said.

"I always call him after a bad date or after something's gone awry, and he helps me, so there's a little bit of that in the show between the characters of Carly and Spencer."

Last month, the iCarly reboot was renewed for a second season on Paramount Plus, only a month after the show premiered on the platform. As of right now, the release date for Season 2 has not been made public yet.

The first season of the iCarly revival is currently available to stream on Paramount Plus.
