Snoop Dogg has become one of the most recognizable faces in hip hop and a legend within the genre. Teaming up with the likes of Dr. Dre (with whom he has had a complicated relationship over the years), Tupac and Nate Dog early in his career, Snoop would carve an identity for himself, becoming iconic in his own right. Snoop’s success has, of course, earned him a vast fortune. A fortune which the successful rapper has used to make life for him, as well as his family, much more comfortable.

Among the many creature comforts Snoop has amassed, the most impressive are big, beautiful and – expensive – houses. Mr. Broadus has lived in quite a few luxurious estates in his day. With a taste for the finest of the finer things and an ever-increasing bank account, the “Drop it Like it's Hot” rapper has called many a sprawling palatial dwelling home. Let’s take a gander at the most expensive, while also exploring the artist’s journey to get to said houses, shall we?

6 Where Did Snoop Dogg Grow Up?

Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. was born in October 1971. The man who would eventually become Snoop Dogg grew up in Long Beach, California, just south of Los Angeles. Growing up in a predominantly Caucasian neighborhood (according to Classichiphopmagazine.com), Snoop experienced humble beginnings before ultimately emerging as one of the premiere hip hop acts of the 90s. An interesting fact about Snoop is his famous nick/stage name was given to him by his parents, as he bore a resemblance to the famous dog from the Peanuts comic strip/cartoon.

5 What Is Snoop Dogg’s Net Worth?

It’s fair to say that Snoop has done pretty well for himself over the course of his career. Snoop’s constant string of hit albums, as well as amassing legions of fans (one of them being Chris Stapleton, of all people, who had a love for Snoop as a teen) has made it possible for the “Still Smokin” rapper to become very wealthy. Indeed, the rapper has amassed a net worth of $150 million. While fans do think the rapper is wasting his net worth on one thing, in particular, Snoop no doubt has cash to burn, regardless of “questionable” spending habits.

4 What Has Snoop Dogg Purchased Other Than Real Estate?

With vast wealth at his disposal, Snoop has had the freedom to purchase whatever his heart desires for over 20 years. What has the rapper purchased over the years? Among his most luxurious purchases are fine automobiles (both vintage and modern), as well as various items of jewelry. However, not wanting to limit himself to merely purchasing cars and other toys, Snoop ventured into the world of business, investing in a California-based cannabis delivery service called Eaze, as well as co-founding digital media platform Merry Jane in 2015. He has also founded a production company called Snoopadelic Films. But enough about that. It's time to move on to houses.

3 Snoop Dogg's Claremont, California Mansion

Snoop purchased his first luxury mansion back in 1994. The Blaisdell Ranch House, located in the foothills of Claremont, CA, was purchased by the rapper for only $600 thousand (wow… just… wow.) Ever the profiteer, Snoop would end up selling the home for almost $2 million in '07. Often referred to as “Snoop’s first house,” the California mansion began as a modest 3,700 square footer with just 5 bedrooms. Some of the more luxurious features of the house include dual master suites featuring ultra-lavish bathrooms, a home theater room, recording studio room, marble fireplaces, numerous quality built-ins, pool and spa, pool house, & lit tennis/basketball court. Over the years, the “Drop it Like it's Hot” rapper expanded his former abode, adding another 6,527 square feet with 8 bedrooms and 5 and a half bathrooms to the property. However, with ever-growing fame and fortune comes a need for larger living quarters (I suppose).

2 Snoop Dogg Bought ‘Tha Chuuurch’

Snoop’s recording studio extraordinary is located on the same street as his palatial estate. The two-story home was purchased by the rapper not too long after purchasing his primary home. The home has gone from being a normal three-bedroom to a fully functional recording studio. His church; his office; his home away from home, if you will. While there doesn't seem to be any information pertaining to how much Snoop paid for “Tha Chuuurch,” surely this little bundle of homely joy cost the rapper a pretty penny (or, given his history, perhaps he got it at a bargain.)

1 Snoop Dogg's Diamond Bar Mansion

Snoop Dogg’s Diamond Bar mansion was purchased at an incredible bargain. The Los Angeles abode was snatched up by the rapper back in 1998 for $720 thousand, and it is now worth $1.7 million. The home features four bedrooms, four baths and is located in a gated residence where he and his family have lived for more than 20 years. During the Super Bowl halftime show, viewers were given a glimpse inside Snoop's palatial estate (as well as a few other famous rappers homes), something rarely done by the rapper.
