JoJo Siwa has been an advocate for believing in yourself and expressing yourself for a while now. She has given a lot of great advice to her fans over the years about doing just that. She has often been hard on herself with those issues, but being on the show Dancing With the Stars has encouraged her to open up and not be afraid to be fully herself and to believe in herself and her dreams.
Siwa has been demonstrating what she's been preaching to her fans more recently and it's wonderful to witness. She's been an inspiration to so many people around her age and younger because of who she chooses to be and what she chooses to represent.
Let's dive into the wonderful pieces of advice Siwa has given her fans young and old. With millions of followers on social media, she is sure to have made a difference in people's lives.
6 Relationships End But Friendships Don't Have To
While appearing on Paris Hilton's podcast, This Is Paris, Siwa talked about the breakup she had with her girlfriend of almost a year, Kylie Prew. "She is literally still my best friend," Siwa said. She said that she didn't know it was possible before, but she has learned that "even though relationships end, friendships don't have to end." She added that she felt "really lucky that I didn't lose her completely." That's something that a lot of people don't realize; especially young people who are new to romantic relationships. Siwa said Prew was the "right person" at the "wrong time."
5 Never Go To Sleep Mad
"Never go to sleep mad," is advice that Siwa gave to her fans on the Success With Jess podcast. "Always end with an 'I love you.' Always end with an 'I'm frustrated but tomorrow it won't matter." That is great advice for anyone in a serious relationship. Some may have taken that advice and applied it and saved their relationships by using it. In any relationship, it's never a good idea to go to sleep mad or to walk away angry. It's best to talk things out or tell the other person you love them even if you are hurt or frustrated. It's natural for couples to fight, but being able to work through arguments is what is important.
4 Find Someone With A JoJo Bow
Siwa said on Ryan Seacrest's podcast that if one of her fans is wearing a "JoJo bow" at school and has no one to sit with or hang out with at recess, they should approach someone who is also wearing one of her bows because that person is a "Siwanater" and they can trust that that person will be nice to them. Siwa said that's what "Siwanater" is all about; loving and accepting each other. This is such a great concept and a wonderful idea for fans of hers. It's a great way to spread love and positivity amongst young people who often suffer through bullying in school.
3 Anyone Can Be And Do Anything
On Dancing With the Stars, Siwa got to play and dance the part of the prince in her Cinderella dance with her partner, Jenna Johnson. She said on the show as well as on her Instagram that she was "so thankful for this opportunity to share that anyone can be and do anything!" She also went on to tell her followers that "a girl being a prince isn't 'weird,' isn't 'gross' but it's amazing, wonderful and magical." Props to Siwa for always standing up for what she believes in and not being afraid to share her out-of-the-box thinking or straying from the norm.
2 Chase Every Dream You Have And Believe In Yourself
After Siwa's first-ever performance on Dancing With the Stars, Siwa made a post on her Instagram page and encouraged her followers to "chase every dream you have and believe in yourself." Siwa hasn't been shy about how hard being on the dance competition show has been but she also isn't shy about how much fun she has been having every week. She is thrilled to be dancing on the show and never forgets where she came from. She takes every opportunity to thank her fans for voting for her and supporting her throughout her career. She believes in chasing your dreams because it's what got her to be on the show.
1 You Will Regret Not Chasing Your Dreams
Siwa told YSBnow in a video interview that it's important to follow your dreams even if you are scared that people will judge you. "You want people to think that you're cool and you want people to think that you're doing the right thing but you're going to regret it if you don't do it," Siwa said. "It's your life and you can do whatever you want." Such great advice from Siwa. Lots of people have doubts about trying something new or chasing after something they want for fear of what other people will think; especially young people. It's important to choose what is best for you and at the end of the day like Siwa said, it's your life!
