Jennifer Lopez, a multi-talented artist, started her career on the TV show "In Living Color" before making a name for herself in the music industry with hits like "Get Right" and "Play." Having achieved success in music, she also maintained a successful career in Hollywood film. Jennifer Lopez was married to salsa legend Marc Anthony, and they had twins before their divorce. Early Life/Education
Lopez's upbringing was rooted in the Roman Catholic faith, and her education also reflected this as she attended Catholic schools from elementary through high school. After graduating from Preston High School in the Bronx, Lopez briefly attended Baruch College but ultimately chose to pursue her passion for singing and dancing instead of continuing her higher education.
Career
1990’s
In 1990, she won a national competition that granted her a spot on the popular Fox comedy television series In Living Color as one of the "Fly Girls". Following this, she landed roles in several television shows and movies, which included Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7, a television movie, and two other series.
Lopez made a successful beginning in the film industry with Mi Familia or My Family, her first movie that received exceptional reviews upon its release in 1995. She also starred in Jack (1996) and Money Train (1995), both directed by Francis Ford Coppola and featuring Woody Harrelson and Robin Williams.
In 1997, Lopez's career took off when she was chosen to portray Selena Quintillana-Perez in a biopic about the singer's life. Her portrayal of the late artist earned her numerous awards and recognition, including a Golden Globe nomination.
Later in 1997 Jennifer Lopez acted in two films, Anaconda and Blood and Wine, alongside Jack Nicholson. Additionally, she played the role of Federal Marshal Karen Sisco in the movie Out of Sight.

2000’s
In 2000, she played the lead in two films. The first one was The Cell, a science fiction thriller in which she portrays a child psychologist helping to solve the case of a heinous serial killer. The other film, Enough, was a factual representation of domestic violence in which she also had a starring role. In 2001 she dropped “JLo”.
J.Lo's popularity skyrocketed when her music climbed the pop charts and her romantic comedy, The Wedding Planner, dominated the box office in its first week. With these back-to-back successes, Lopez released "This Is Me" in December 2002, further cementing her celebrity status. She also starred in the hit comedy film Maid in Manhattan.
