In an interview the main cast did with Buzzfeed, they agreed that Madison Bailey and Chase Stokes were the actors who were most likely to sing on set. Stokes even admitted to belting out Christmas songs despite filming taking place in the summer.

The production staff used local stores and suppliers in South Carolina. This was to ensure that everything they used in the show was authentic and looked accurate. In particular, they paid close attention to furniture and posters used to decorate the various rooms shown in the series.

While discussing the behaviors and habits of the actors, the main cast explained that Chase Stokes, who plays John B, could often be found snacking on set. He would often be eating Cheez-Its that were available from craft services on set.

Another detail that came out in their Buzzfeed interview was that Madison Bailey was the member of the main cast who was most likely to be late. The reason for this is that she would often stop to get coffee on the way to filming. Everyone would know because of the time stamp on her cup.

10 Hurricane Dorian Forced The Cast And Crew To Evacuate

Hurricane Dorian was a tropical cyclone that affected the Bahamas as well as parts of Mexico and the US. It began in the middle of August, right when Outer Banks was filming. This led to an evacuation of the set and forced the cast and crew to stop filming until it had dissipated.

9 Filming Switched At The Last Moment From North Carolina To South Carolina

Originally, the producers of Outer Banks had arranged for filming to take place in North Carolina. This makes sense as it is where the series is set. However, at the last moment, they switched to South Carolina. The cast and crew have said this was a result of North Carolina’s controversial Bathroom Bill.

8 Everyone Had To Quickly Agree To Shoot In The Rain For The Kiss Scene

One of the most memorable scenes in the entire first season of Outer Banks is the kiss between John B and Sarah Cameron. But when the rain started falling, the director had to get special permission from the entire cast and crew to say they were willing to shoot in the rain. Otherwise, they would not have been able to capture the emotional moment so accurately.

Although all the members of the cast like to play pranks on each other, the worst offender was seemingly Jonathan Daviss. In one such incident, the actor pretended that he was actually hurt while filming a fight scene only to reveal to his shocked friends that he was fine.
