The next installment in the Fast & Furious series is due to hit theaters in 2023, and it's already shaping up to be a blockbuster. The tenth movie, Fast X as it's formally known, will kick off the Fast Saga's concluding chapter.

While fans are eager to see what new heights this film will reach, as even the skies are no more the bar for the Fast & Furious series after F9 launched Roman and Tej to orbit, they are also intrigued about the cast of the future film.

John Cena joined the cast, while Sung Kang and Jordana Brewster made their return to the franchise in the previous Fast and Furious installment. But Fast X promises even more intriguing additions to the cast.

Is Fast X The Last Fast & Furious Film?

If Fast X sounds very final, fans needn't worry; there will be an eleventh installment in the series, so this film isn't the final one. But, it's true that the story will be winding down. Still, fans shouldn't lose hope just yet; spinoffs and other sequels are still possible.

"The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with a story that, on one level, it's totally feasible to have spin-offs, and I think that's something that is inevitable," Vin Diesel said in a chat with Total Film in February 2020.

The release date for Fast X has been changed already, and could change again, but the current anticipated release date is spring of 2023.

According to reports, shooting for the first section of the tenth installment has begun on April 20. It was earlier stated by Tyrese Gibson that the two parts would be filmed simultaneously.

What Is Fast X About?

Fast & Furious 9 seemed to put a cap on some storylines, so what's left to tell? A lot, apparently. Vin Diesel has stated that the movie will have a two-part conclusion as "there's so much ground to cover," continuing, "There's so many places and so many locations in the world that we have to visit."

There are a few unanswered questions, such as if Mr. Nobody is still alive and what Jakob does next, but they feel more like side stories than a significant foreshadowing of what's to follow in the narrative.

The credits segment, in which Han pays a visit to Shaw, who is rightly surprised to see him, is a massive teaser for the upcoming movie. Will Shaw let things cool down after unwittingly assisting Han in keeping Project Aries safe? Could Han's unexpected homecoming turn Shaw back into a villain?

But one fact we can fairly predict for the two-part conclusion is that Dom and his family will be faced with yet another quest to save the globe and a danger to his own kin. For some fans who feel that the franchise should have ended with Fast and Furious 7 and the reason is the absence of Brian O’Conner, there might be some redemption coming.

This time, the team could also include Brian, who has been kept out of the series since Paul Walker's demise, as the producers hinted in the F9 finale that O'Conner would join the family meal, which has been a tradition for the group.

As for teasers, nothing has been released yet. However, because Vin Diesel is known for posting behind-the-scenes videos on his social media platforms, there will undoubtedly be plenty when the film shoots.

Who Is Joining The Fast X Cast?

The saga will not be complete without the return of the majority of the family, and with the shooting announcement came the anticipated cast list. For the tenth installment of Fast and Furious, the Toretto familia will be reunited.

Undoubtedly, Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto is returning, along with a slew of other recognizable faces, particularly since Fast & Furious 9 went down without a hitch. Michelle Rodriguez playing Letty, Sung Kang as Han, Jordana Brewster portraying Mia, Ludacris being Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel in the role of Ramsey, Tyrese Gibson playing Roman, and Charlize Theron in the role of the baddie Cipher will all be returning.

Sean Boswell by Lucas Black, Earl Hu played by Jason Tobin, Twinkie portrayed by Bow Wow, and Agent Stasiak by Shea Whigham are among the characters who will appear in cameo roles and small parts throughout the series.

After F9, Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody's survival is still in question. Fans wouldn't be surprised to know that he's still alive to support Dom and his crew given he aided Han to hide his own death. While Jakob Toretto, played by John Cena, began as an enemy, by the climax of the ninth film, he was on Dom's side, so fans would hope to see the long-lost Toretto sibling return for the finale as well. Cardi B also has revealed that she will be returning in the final part.

Now for the new cast members, Jason Momoa, earns a handsome amount from acting and was the Aquaman hero, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson, who gets extremely fit in the movie, and Daniela Melchior from The Suicide Squad are all confirmed for the movie. Their characters, however, haven't been revealed yet.
