Nick Cannon has (kinda) surprised fans by announcing that he had welcomed his ninth child - with his tenth and 11th children still on the way.

Nick Cannon Shared A Picture Of His New Daughter On Instagram

The entertainer, 41, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he had welcomed a child with 40-year-old model LaNisha Cole. The proud parents revealed that their daughter's name is Onyx Ice Cole Cannon. The Wild N' Out host captioned a black and white snap of himself, Cole and baby Onyx in the delivery room. He began by writing: "Introducing ONYX ICE COLE CANNON… Once again Today I am in Awe of the Devine Feminine! God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth. I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities."

He added: "As we all know I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength. So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children."

LaNisha Nicole Has A Tattoo Of Nick Cannon On Her Body

Nick was romantically linked to LaNisha in February 2021, with the model tattooing "King Cannon" on her body. LaNisha has been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram, with many fans believing the father was her friend, artist Brian Paul Kuba. The pair appeared in many videos together over the past several months.

Nick Cannon Has Tried To Explain The Reason Why He Has Had Multiple Children

Nick already shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; one-year-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with De La Rosa; and one-month-old son Legendary Love with Tiesi. Cannon is also father to a child with Alyssa Scott - son Zen, who died at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

Cannon recently spoke about his lifestyle while chatting on YouTube Live with sex therapist Dr. Tammy Nelson. He claimed his relationships are "consensual non-monogamy." In the interview, Cannon said: "I’ve practiced monogamy, I’ve been a cheater, I’ve been toxic ... it all starts with honesty. It’s really just surface, basic stuff. One of my therapists coined what I do as consensual non-monogamy."

"Because to even pretend like I’m in a monogamous relationship, that would be misleading. Because, as we know, monogamy defines one thing - and people like to classify what I do as polyamory or polygamy, but even that, I always say to define me is to confine me."
