“You have to pay child support,” Bre responds, to which Nick replies, “No I don’t.”

While Nick and Bre may be making fun of him not paying child support now, it wasn’t so long ago that she called him out for not making court-ordered payments, suggesting he had too many children to do so.

“The way it works is, like, after 10, the court can basically say he can’t afford to pay child support,” she said during an episode of Selling Sunset earlier this year. “Or because he is who he is, they could say, ‘We know you can afford X amount for each for each household.'”

Bre's remarks on screen quickly ignited speculation regarding Nick's financial support for his children. Following the backlash, the reality star's attorney took the opportunity to clarify to the media that her client had misspoken during her statements.

“Bre, you should know better!” her lawyer Neama Rahmani, told Us Weekly. “That is absolutely not true. There’s no cap on child support based on the number of children. So, to the extent that Nick Cannon can have babies, he owes child support for those babies under California law.”

In addition to the son he has with Tiesi, Cannon is a parent to the following children: Moroccan and Monroe, 12, from his previous marriage to Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, 6, Powerful Queen, 2, and 11-month-old Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 2, and 10-month-old Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; 11-month-old Onyx with LaNisha Cole; and 10-month-old Halo with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott tragically lost their son Zen to a brain tumor at the age of 5 months in December 2021.

Nick previously refuted a report that said he pays $3 million in annual child support. The comedian said that while he’s not on court-mandated child support, he financially supports all of his kids, claiming to pay more than what the report said he does every year.

"It ain't even about a monthly allowance or amount of money because I don't give myself that," he said while appearing on Audacy's Hot 104.1. "What they need, they get it."

"There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive […] That's why they call me the provider," Nick continued.

Nick already has 12 children, but he’s admitted to being open to expanding his family further in the future, so he could be spending even more on his children sooner than later.
