Pogues for life! The second season of the Netflix adventure show, Outer Banks, was released on the streaming platform on July 30 and those who have finished it have their jaws on the floor.

Outer Banks is set in a coastal town along the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where there is a stark divide between the wealthy seasonal residents (Kooks) and working-class locals (Pogues). When season one ended two Pogues John B (Chase Stokes) and Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), were setting out on a boat to find the gold that John B's dad never got to find before his ship wrecked. However, after being accused of shooting the sheriff, when it was actually Rafe (Drew Starkey), a Kook and brother to Sarah, they flee. Drama, near-death experiences and shocking surprises ensue.

No word on if the show is renewed for a season 3, but with the way it ended and the audience response, it most likely will be.

So, here are five things we learned from season 2 and five questions we still have.

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT FOR OUTER BANKS SEASON 2

10 Kiara And Pope Slept Together

In season one, there was some tension between Kiara (Madison Bailey) and all of the boys, even John B. The audience finds out that Pope (Jonathan Daviss) is falling for Kiara and one night, after sitting around a campfire, they sleep together. She pushes Pope away days after it happens and suggests they just be friends. Then in the last episode when they get stranded on the island, it suggests that JJ (Rudy Pankow) and Kiara are slowly becoming an item while Pope moved on with Cleo.

9 Topper Still Cares For Sarah Despite Her Fleeing

When Sarah returned home to meet up with her sister, Wheezie, Rafe takes her phone and is the one who meets up with her. And because he is mad she left and almost got him in trouble, he tries to drown Sarah. Luckily, Topper, her ex-boyfriend, comes to the rescue, pulls Rafe off of her and takes Sarah back to his house to calm down a bit. He gives her tea and food, and when they go to the bonfire together, it seems as though he still has feelings for her, especially since he was there after she saw her dad's boat blow up.

8 Family Isn't Always Blood

P4L man! With both of John B's parents being non-existent in his life, JJ's dad in jail and on the run and Kiara's parents basically disowning her, Pope is really the only one who has a stable home life. However, the Pogues basically turn into each other's family, because they have parental trouble and are always there for each other, even if it might get the other one in trouble.

Sarah turns to the Pogue life, because her family betrayed her. Her dad, Ward and Rafe try to blame John B for killing the sheriff when they are the ones behind it. Her step-mother covers it and many things up. The only normal one is Wheezie, but Sarah decides to leave and create her own family in the Pogues.

7 Money Can Make You Do Crazy Things

The whole plot of this show is based around the gold that John B's father didn't get to find. The Camerons steal the gold from John B, because Ward believes it belongs to him since he helped John B's dad look for it. John B and Sarah eventually got it back with help from a few friends in the Bahamas, but they eventually get it taken from them again.

Rafe shot the sheriff, because he meant to shoot John B over the gold. Then Ward shot Gavin, who was the pilot and the only other witness to the shooting over money. Then, when Pope finds out about his relatives and the million dollar cross that they hid, it becomes all about that, and after they find the cross and once again have it stolen out from under them, the people who take it wind up fighting and someone gets shot. Money is not worth it.

6 John B.'s Dad Is Alive

Was anyone else flipping out after the season finale? Throughout the series, it is thought that Big John is dead after Ward knocked his head on the boat and threw him in the ocean. Someone finds his body washed up at sea and that's it, everyone thinks he's dead. But that's not it.

At the last few seconds of the finale, we find Carla Limbrey, a woman in search of the cross to heal herself, go to Barbados. When she arrives at the house, a gentleman leads her in and she walks to the porch. It's then we see Big John sitting there, completely alive. She asks him to find the shroud that was in the cross, and he says he will if she promise to keep him safe.

5 Where Is The Gold Now?

Now, that you're all caught up, we have some questions. In the end, it turns out Ward Cameron faked his death and takes his family on a private boat to a far away destination so they can live in peace. But after John B decides not to push him overboard and he lives, Rafe comes to visit him and tells him we have the cross, we have the gold, we're set.

But the thing is where is the gold? You visibly see the cross on the boat. The last place we saw the gold was when cops were taking it away from the helpers. So, if they are going some place else, where are they storing it? Is it in the Bahamas house or somewhere on the ship we don't see? We have to know.

4 How Does Their Teacher, Mr. Sunn, Know About Denmark Tanny And The Cross?

It is revealed in the season that Pope is related to Denmark Tanny, a man who was enslaved and was the sole survivor of the shipwreck that the gold was on. He is considered to be one of the area's early wealthy citizens. The Cross of Santo Domingo belonged to him and it contained a shroud, or cloth, that was said to be touched by Jesus and anyone who touched it would be healed. So when Carla Limbrey shows up needing the cloth, she assumes Pope knows where it is. He does not, but him and the Pogues go on a hunt for it.

One of the few times, the Pogues actually show up to school, their teacher pulls them aside and asks them about Denmark Tanny and mentions the cross, almost like he knew Pope was related and that they were looking for it. But how did he suddenly bring it up and know about it? Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Could he be related to Pope? We need this answer in season 3.

3 What Did The Note Say That Rose Cameron Received?

Rose Cameron is seen picking up mail outside her house. There is an Amazon package and a few other things, but she gets a note from a foreign address and opens it. When she does, we can see the back of it and it appears to be a hand-written note. Many people suspect it is from Ward telling her he is not really dead, but we don't know for sure. Does it reveal where the gold is or another secret that we don't know yet? Whatever it says, it is driving us crazy, and we need to know now.

2 Will Rafe Get The Justice He Deserves?

When Ward staged his suicide, he left a video detailing everything including the confession that he was the one who killed Sheriff Peterkin. When in reality, Rafe did, but his father didn't want him to get in trouble. However, earlier in the season, we find out that the Pogues recover the gun that Rafe used and it is registered to Ward with Rafe's fingerprints on it. So, if his fingerprints are on it, he should still be put in jail, like he made John B, and be charged for that and the other crimes he committed.

1 Where Did The Shroud In The Cross Go?

The whole point of the cross was to get the shroud inside, but when they opened it with the key Pope found, the shroud was missing. All that was in there were some moths. Now, they assumed the moths ate the shroud, but in the end when Limbrey shows up to Big John's house, she asks him where it is. So clearly, it wasn't eaten by moths and is still out there somewhere. But the question is where and who took it and for what purpose? All we know is we need a season 3 like tomorrow so our questions can be answered.
