Since announcing their relationship, Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have blossomed into Bravo's bonafide royal couple. The couple's romance has played out over the first two seasons of Winter House and bled into multiple seasons of Southern Charm & Summer House.
While all the intermingling between Bravo shows can be a dream for fans, let alone good for ratings, it ultimately complicates the dynamics of the shows. Both Paige and Craig have dynamic personalities that don't always mesh well with all parties. During the short time, the two have been together, we've already seen how Craig's crazy antics alter Paige's friendships in the house.
Adding more tension to the insanity that already is Summer House may cause the entire thing to implode. Paige and Craig may be happy together, but is their relationship going to be what ultimately drives the entire Summer House cast apart?
When Did Paige And Craig Start Dating?
Paige and Craig were star-crossed lovers for a while there, initially meeting in 2019. The pair each had a series of relationships and hook-ups before getting together in September 2021. One of Paige's more serious hook-ups was with her season one Winter House roommate Andrea Denver. Craig was dating someone else then, but the two continued building a friendship while spending time together on the show.
By April 2021, the two were single, and Paige was spotted hanging out with Craig in his hometown. They wouldn't officially call themselves boyfriend and girlfriend until October 2021, but the pair was happy to gush over their feeling for one another when finally coming clean to the public.
"We both had a crush on each other from three years ago when I came to the Hamptons for Kyle's birthday party. We've always had an eye for each other," Craig told People. He explained how the couple's relationship naturally evolved from a friendship into a romance, saying their relationship was formed in a healthy way.
Craig and Paige are super serious about each other, but it doesn't seem like the stylist is in a rush to get engaged. At Bravocon 2022, the Giggly Squad podcast host told Us Weekly that she was livid with Carl and Lindsay for getting engaged because now everyone is asking her when she and Craig will be doing so.
The answer is - not as soon as fans hope. On Watch What Happens Live, Craig told Andy Cohen that he hopes to propose before next Thanksgiving. His longtime friend and Winter House castmate Kory Keefer seemed to think it would be longer than that.
Does The Cast Of Summer House Like Craig Conover?
It seems like just yesterday, Kyle Cooke was yelling at Everett Weston over not wanting any relationships to ruin the fun of Summer House. While Kyle, of course, was having a moment, things sure have escalated from that point. If Craig joins Summer House season 7 as a full-time cast member, there will be at least three couples in the house - Craig and Paige, Kyle and Amanda, and Lindsay and Carl.
We've been given a glimpse at what this dynamic might look like with season two of Winter House. The first significant change was who the main bedroom went to. Craig came in hot, loaded with cash, and ready to make a deal with whoever he needed to ensure he and Paige secured the largest room available. He ended up paying Kyle and Amanda $500 each for the trouble. Luke somehow got $200 from Craig too.
The move came off desperate to viewers and the house guests, rather than chivalrous or whatever the heck Craig thought it would come off as. Kyle actually said it was a super entitled thing to of Craig to do. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Craig doubled down on his weird negotiation tactics, saying he thought he was being considerate.
The Sewing Down South founder continued to ruffle feathers in the house, refusing to clean up after himself numerous times. He tried to explain to Andy Cohen that he did offer to hire a cleaning crew but ultimately told the Radio Andy host he would apologize for his behavior if given a chance.
Are Craig Conover And Luke Gulbranson Friends After Their 'Winter House' Fight Over Paige?
During one of the most heated moments of Winter House, things almost got physical between Craig and Luke Gulbranson. Craig exploded at Luke after the Minnesota native was "petting Paige's neck and leg." Craig threatened to throw Luke out the window if he touched Paige again, setting off a series of events that led Luke to lead the house.
While the two cleared the air on the show, it doesn't seem like they're friends. Speaking to Us Weekly at Bravocon 2022, Luke had nothing positive to say when asked about the Southern Charm star. "You know, some people are friends and meant to be friends, and some just aren't," he said, adding "Craig is Craig. And I really don't have an opinion [about him]."
Paige got emotional when talking to Amanda about Craig's erratic behavior, something the Loverboy creative director surely relates with. She explained that she feared his loud personality might cause him to get into fights with her friends. During an interview for the show, Paige even admits to disagreeing with some of Craig's behavior 100%. Chances are Craig's behavior is going to cause more drama during Summer House.
But there's just something about Craig's crazy antics that keeps Paige coming back for more. "There's something about the loud, obnoxious, messiness of Craig that I innately am drawn to," she said. We'll see if those words ring true further down the line.
