Summer House star Paige DeSorbo and Southern Charm's Craig Conover have officially called it quits.

Paige and Craig's breakup after three years of dating came amid a period of bad news and setbacks for Bravo and its Bravolebrities — after the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules was rebooted in December, James Kennedy was arrested.

On top of that, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval's Schwartz And Sandy's is closing its doors imminently.

That's not even taking into consideration the Real Housewives universe, with lawsuits, a troubled RHONY reboot, and whatever is going on with poor Brandi Glanville's face.

On Sunday, December 29, we reported on breakup rumors involving Paige and Craig, noting that in December, Craig said:

I don't know where that came from, because we're together, like, every week ...

So, no, Paige and I are not broken up. We're still together.

Unfortunately, Craig's denial now appears to be outdated.

News of Paige and Craig's split reached fans via Paige and Hannah Berner's Giggly Squad podcast on Monday, December 30, and Paige was very open about it.

Paige Says She Wasn't Expecting It

On Monday's Giggly Squad podcast episode, Paige addressed the breakup directly.

She didn't equivocate in her announcement, and said:

Craig and I have decided to no longer be together, and ...

Paige sounded as if she was still adjusting to the breakup herself, and she continued: "It’s weird, it’s very weird. I wasn’t expecting this ... Obviously, when we first started dating, you don’t think, 'Oh, what will happen? Will we get married, will we not?' You’re just kind of like, in this relationship."

Their breakup didn't sound acrimonious at all, as Paige emphasized that she had "so much love and respect for Craig," who she said was "one of the best people [she has] ever met in [her] entire life."

People transcribed a portion of Paige's Giggly Squad remarks, where she said Craig was "definitely the best boyfriend" she's ever had, and she emphasized he did "everything correct."

She added:

"I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.

"I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future."

Paige was also quick to shut down rumors that Bravo had any influence on when and how she and Craig broke the news.

Paige said that previous rumors she and Craig had broken up were not true, adding: "No one can tell me what to do. The network has power, but they don’t have that much power."

Fans of Summer House and Southern Charm speculated that Paige and Craig's franchises of origin – or, more accurately, their different backgrounds – made their split an inevitability.

On Reddit's r/realhousewives, one observed that "neither of them was willing to move," and another replied: "Right[?] Both made no sense in the other's pond — Craig, big city, he’d hate it, and Paige in Charleston for a visit? Yes, but not long term."
