What Is Pamela Anderson Doing Now?

Pamela Anderson went from being the hottest tabloid topic to living a quiet life.

For this year's Met Gala, however, she made a significant change. She decided to wear some make-up to go with her classy dress, and she seemed very happy with her choice, as she was smiling brightly on every photo from the gala.

Pamela Anderson Wears Make-Up To An Event For The First Time In Years

Pamela Anderson looked stunning last night at the Met Gala, but then again, she always does. She wore a beautiful champagne colored gown and a daring but enchanting hairstyle. While she certainly received a lot of praise for her appearance, her hair and dress weren't what caught people's attention.

The model, for the first time, was seen at an event wearing eye-shadow, mascara, and lipstick. A lot of people commented on her decision to finally wear make-up, after years of going without and making that choice practically her trademark. But while it might have come as a shock, it shouldn't really be surprising, considering what she said earlier this year about her opinion on make-up.

"It wasn’t to make a political statement," she clarified to Allure. "I just wanted to have my little weird face sticking out of the top of those great clothes... why am I playing the game?"

She was surprised it caused such a fuss, considering she was only doing what felt comfortable at the moment.

"And the funny thing was I would come back from the shows wearing all these clothes and a big funny hat and everything and there were all these paparazzi and then I went in one door and changed into my jeans and T-shirt and no makeup and walked out the door right through the same crowd that had been chasing me and no one noticed."

Pamela Anderson's looks have been praised for years, and that, of course, can put a lot of pressure on someone. Especially a woman, considering the standards they are held to in the entertainment industry. Not wearing make-up was a way for her to learn to love herself again without the pressure of societal expectations.

"My name gives [even] me a false impression of myself," she explained. "Without context my name [suggests] a wrong image. I've been on this journey, from Playboy to Baywatch — all these Halloween costumes, I like to say — and now come back home to self-love and self-acceptance, I just feel like it’s OK. [What I’m into now] is a conscious choice."

Did Pamela Anderson's Divorces And Subsequent Settlements Damage Or Build Up Her Net Worth?

Pamela Anderson has been divorced multiple times which would normally wreak havoc on anyone's net worth.

Pamela Anderson acknowledged that it was easier said than done, but familiarizing herself with her natural self was a step towards self-acceptance.

"I've always felt like there's a little monster inside of me that I need to get out, I need to share. I've been trying and I've begun to feel closest to it... and it's peeling back everything and trying to remember what my original thoughts are... It's not just about makeup, taking off the mask, but it’s about why am I here, what’s my purpose, why do I resonate with people, can I help in any way?"

The fact that Pamela Anderson dared to wear make-up at a public event hopefully means that she's more comfortable with herself nowadays.
