Fans believe a new actor will be joining the Shelby gang in Peaky Blinders season 6!
Bringing back Peaky Blinders has been nothing short of a Herculean effort from director Anthony Byrne and his team, but they're taking each day as it comes. Byrne regularly shares updates with fans via social media, allowing them to be a part of what goes on behind the scenes.
The writer-director shared a brand new BTS photo from the sets in Scotland, giving fans a look at the many hats of Tommy Shelby (brilliantly portrayed by Cillian Murphy), and perhaps a new cast member.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin To Join Peaky Blinders?
The show's costumes have their own personality. The gangster family's vintage tweed suits and overcoats, newsboy hats complete with boots and a pocket watch has made historical costumes look fashionable, and fans agree that Cillian Murphy is easy on the eyes anyway.
The sixth season's costumes have been designed by Alison McCosh, and like every season we have seen so far, will feature the actors wearing the iconic hat...with a razor blade attacked to its peak. Director Anthony Byrne shared to Instagram, a photo of several of them, and captioned his post "Hero or Anti-Hero. Tommy wears many hats."
The cap in focus has a name tag on it, which reads "Hero 59."
Fans believe it refers to British actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin, who played the 11-year-old Tom Riddle (the young version of antagonist Lord Voldemort) in Harry Potter & the Half-blood Prince.
"Hero Fiennes-Tiffin maybe......? am I thinking too far into this," a fan wrote on the post, and another added, "literally what came first to my mind.."
Another user shared, "I had the exact same thought."
Fiennes Tiffin recently starred alongside Dylan Sprouse in After We Collided, a romantic-drama by director Roger Kumble.
Tommy Shelby Will Take His Final Bow
Tommy Shelby is a fascinating character. His suave appearance itself signifies his ruthless and violent nature, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is a family man.
He wears many hats (literally and figuratively). We've seen him as the de facto boss of the Shelby crime family, we've seen him in love and as a father, but how far will his exploits go on in the series?
Peaky Blinders season six marks the end of the period crime drama, and is reported to premiere in early January next year.
